Any up-front combination of Crespo/Duff/Robben/Cole J/ Cole C/SWP/Gudjohnsen.
In the middle we have any combination of Lampard/Makelele/Gudjohnsen/Cole J/Diarra/SWP, plus Bridge/Del Horno can play left side midfield, and Ferreira/Johnson can play right side midfield, if needed.
There is also no weakness in the defensive line, or at goal keeper.
Sorry, but I see a lot of hand wringing over nothing, In terms of depth and versatility, we are blessed. And, if we can't cover the loss of 3 players in January with our squad, then we really don't deserve to win anything, do we?

Whether that means he'll leave is another matter. Remember, we paid £6m for him and we'd like to see some sort of decent return for him: I'd certainly be wanting in the region of £4m. Rob Huth? Well, he's made it clear that he wants to stay at Chelsea and carry on learning at JT's knee (if you'll excuse the poor analogy, given that he's a clear 3 inches or so taller than the captain).
However, I would be surprised to see either go in mid-season. For me, the Wayne Bridge speculation rings truer, even if I think he'd like to duke it out for that left-back spot. Surely joining the Chelsea rejects at Newcastle is beneath the lad?

Sadly, it seems that Glen has managed to distinguish himself by being one of the very few players not to have brought his career on under Jose.

Agreed. I'd be far more concerned that there is a ring of truth to the Bridge speculation. Guaranteed first team action with an impending world cup on the horizon has been known to cloud a players judgement.
Hopefully Wayne will continue winning trophies with us for years to come

Especially if he replaces Babayaro again!

quote:I do wish people would stop going on about Adriano. Yes, he's a good player but look at the stats of real football, not Football Manager! His form this season has been poor and his scoring record even poorer. Last season he went 4 months without scoring. Hardly the credentials of the world-class finisher that people are describing him as.

Goalscorer we need, Adriano, that is the most popular choice amongst CFC fans I think.

And then there's the clamours to buy Torres, who didn't score a goal for 17 games straight. How well would that go down at CFC? It's not like we want our very own Peter Crouch.
