Me too mate. we dont need a striker. we need 2 wingers.

Thats the craziest thing I've ever heard! Dont need a striker? because the one we bought for 50 million is banging them in!
Torres is **** and is never going to come good and dont give me all that about assists and team etc etc
He was bought to score goals and he just doesnt!
You can't blame the team the tactics or anything else. A 5 million city reject is showing him up FFS!
Movement me arse. Danny makes things happen, and doesnt need this mysterious and missing "special" through ball.
And he's played out of position on the right
We create plenty of chances in and around the box and outside it, the one thing we need is someone to finish them off

So if we spend another £40mil on a striker we'll be fine yeah? Because we create about 10 clear cut chances for our CF don't we... Forgot about that.

How fickle. It's clear that the team needs addressing in multiple areas, yet ignorant fans seem to blame everything on Torres. Nice one!

Did I say 40 million?
This "striker" that you so believe in, was in decline when we bought him - just ask any pool fan - they made all the same excuses and concluded that only Benitez could get the best out of him!
Even Carlo was stumped and he's a much more experienced manager than AVB and used to kicking life into old careers.

And your argument about chances just doesnt stand up.
How the hell is Danny scoring then? Or Drogba? Or Lampard who times his runs into the box because he;s a natural goal scorer- Because they are dynamic - they MAKE things happen.
Honestly - Danny pisses all over Torres in every dept.
Torres is supposed to be a match winner, a game changer and all the rest!
Even if he scored 5 more - the doubt would still be hanging over him

Oh and how many chances does ther Spainish team create for him?
He's a dog who can't catch fleas, cut our losses and end both our nightmares

I stick by my words. WE DONT NEED A STRIKER. we got Torres and sturridge that is enough for a team who plays just the 1 up top. we need a winger and a creative mid to add to the genius of mata.

You can have all the genius you like, but if you have a "striker" who doesnt pull the trigger when clear in on goal like yesterday, then whats the point?
Danny would have shot first time, so I stick to my words - we absolutely need to drop Torres and use\get someone else. Thankfully it will happen when Drogba comes back.
Hell, I'd even play Kalou or Luka up there, but come next season you need 4 decent strikers and Torres aint gonna be one of them!
One year = 5 goals come on now!

Some people like Torres a bit too much. He has been god awful in Chelsea shirt. 5 goals is really nothing, defender can score this much.

Not saying that Torres is not responsible in any way for the poor goal returns - but you have to be honest about it when you look at the supply line the man gets! Its pathetic at times - to date he has hardly ever received many assists like the ones he provides for others on our team. If you take a look at Higuain and Cavanis goal videos, it becomes clear that they do get a lot of brilliant assists that makes it easy for them to do what they do best I.e. put the ball in the back of the net. The % of goals that they've scored which they were almost entirely responsible for is small.

So its not fair to say Torres scored 5 goals and that its nothing - we have to look at it in the context of the teams performance - all the guys who have played CF for us for the last 2 seasons have struggled and it is due heavily to the lack of a consistent supply line as well as players who have the pace to create space and pass - Danny has pace but to get a pass out of him is like getting peace in the middle east! So replacing Torres with another CF who needs the same kind of assistance will maybe get us more goals, provided that new striker hits the ground running and brings his prolific form with him - but I don't know about them taking their tallies to 25+ with the current supply we have. Get at least two wingers and a midfielder who can play through balls on a consistent basis then yeah I can see a Chelsea CF scoring goals like we used to in 09-10.

Higuain is underrated at Madrid. He doesn't get as much time as he should, and he still banks in a crazy amount of goals. Wouldn't be surprised if he left soon, and I'd be glad to have him.

I would love this guy here, always rated him and his style would suit our style of play to a t.

I think any team on the planet would be glad to have Higuian if he becomes available in the summer.

I wouldn't have him. How many impossible simple chances to score has this guy screwed up. Cannot stand see him play and I'm sure yu would get frustrated him very quickly if he came here...

Second that. Also, if we dont reshape our midfield and change our playing style, he will land up struggling more than Torres.
