Just wondered are we due a new away shirt for the coming season/s or are we sticking with our current one? It's just I'm sure I remember reading that it was for one season only?

There will be a new away kit for next season and it will be predominantly black, launched just before the start of the season.
There is no new home kit for the new season. The 2005/06 season one hasn't been designed yet.
The Emirates sponsorship is up for renewal at the end of the forthcoming season so there may or may not be a change of sponsor.
The badge IS also being reviewed although no decision has been made yet.

Does anyone know if we are getting a new kit this year?

Are they bringing out a new kit? I would love to see chelsea in Adidas not Umbro or Nike as Umbro is old fashioned and Man u and Arsenal have Nike

I've seen a glimpse of the new away kit on the official site.
Black and silver those old traditional Chelsea colours.
I know life long Man Utd fan Kenyon is trying to turn us into them but do we really have to start playing in their old cast off kits?
Also I cannot believe the paucity of designs and ideas that come out of Umbro (where Kenyon Originated) every year.
We are supposed to be THE team so why can't we have a "bespoke" kit that isn't going to be exactly the same design as 25 other teams throughout the league in a different colour way?

So what do we all think, assuming you've seen the pictures or the game.
Black and silver??
I recall someone on this site got this one spot on about a week ago.
Kenyon. New kit. ManU. Black away.
Anyone want to claim that prediction??!!

Can somebody out there in Chelsea land explain the idea behind the new away kit?
I always thought that we played all in blue unless we played against a team whos home kit was also blue therefore we change into our "away" kit.
Does anybody honestly think that when we play Everton or Portsmouth who both have blue shirts white shorts we'll be able to use or new black and silver combo? Or the a white 3rd kit?
No as per usual the richest team in the league will be turning out in the shirts from the 3rd kit teamed with shorts from the 1st kit and socks from god knows where.
It just amazes me that in the ever widening search for the quid Chelsea never thought about that at boardroom level.
Demographics say black shirts look good with jeans so we'll have a black shirt and bugger the consequences seems to be the idea.
The new shirt looks nice I grant you but we'll probably get to wear it 2 or 3 times due to the predominance of the 1st kit which we can wear away against all the teams that play in red, or white, or yellow or black and white etc etc etc. What exactly marks this new kit apart from the old second "Midnight Blue" Black kit from a couple of seasons ago which we also NEVER wore. Someone gets paid by Chelsea and Umbro to come up with this nonsense. The all pervaying message coming out from the Bridge and Kenyon in particular seems to be that if it's good for Man Utd (tours of America - ever changing shirt designs including a black shirt) then it's good enough for us.
Well it's not.

I'm Going to order the new away kit today. What players name have you got on the back of your shirt? I can't decide between Robben, Duff, Gudjohnsen, Kezman or Drogba!

I think its probaly our best away shirt in recent years, and what I like about it is the sliver bits on the arms of the shirt. What do you think?

Has anyone seen the plans for the new training ground on the official site?
It looks absolutely amazing and will be ready by July 2006.
