Having attended Ossie's memorial, I've waited a long time to see the first penalty taken from the spot at the Shed End where his ashes were buried on a cold wet Sunday afternoon. But, fate always likes a laugh and when the moment finally arrived it was the first home league game I've missed in something like 13 months. So - no picture, no memory of being at the match, no stories to tell of the dramatic 4-4 and that first penalty. All I can do is thank Shevchenko for taking it on and slotting it away like a true pro. I'm only sorry that Villa were gifted one at the same end in the dying minutes.

Good grief, you're right. His Ashes were interred on 1st October 2006 (I was there too) and that's the first penalty at the Shed End ever since.
