Sometimes you just have to enjoy a goal, you know.
2 not entirely different goals in the same 90 minutes.. I think he'll be fine.

Yeah I think he will be a very good player for your country.I was talking more in general that although he can beat his man and go off dribbles,he isn't exactly a direct dribbler, nothing wrong with that of course.More of a player with quick feet, excellent link up play, pace, acceleration and good finishing with both left and right.Dynamic talent and be interesting to see where he goes.

Early C.Ronaldo's a good comparison purely because they share fantastic stride-turnover speed, and can run with his head up, but the concern is with people suggesting he is anything close to a finished prospect or a polished, world class player yet. He is neither. Even experienced journalists like Tim Vickery have been making favourable comparisons to Messi, and I find that truly bizarre.

That's maybe because Tim Vickery watches him often & undoubtedly understands the talent more.
If you can download a gang of matches & watch 90 minute games.. that's.. if you want to understand...

You have to remember that you don't have to be a clone of Messi to be a super unique talent.
Dribbling is not even Neymar's key feature.

Cristiano now, lacks some of the stuff that makes Neymar a jaw dropping talent.
I don't see the Cristiano thing, but, then Robinho, Cristiano, in a wider set they are all the under the same subset of player.

Cristiano as a teen was much more of an aggressive player than Neymar..
I don't know if that's a positive or negative, I like players like Robben who feel they can do it all on their own, but, you look at Cristiano's team game as compared to Neymar's and it should serve Neymar better that he plays with & for the team.

I think Barca will be perfect for Neymar, I actually remember when Ronaldinho was about 25 & he said that Messi was better than he is & everybody laughed. It's crazy that it seems Barca are replacing/adding world phenom with world phenom.

Who's next?

Actually Vickery was raving about those two goals as if they were some of the best he'd ever seen. Which is absurd.

Neymar doesn't seem to be a natural fit with Barca's patient style at all. Much better fit for a Jose side, IF he can be made to play with a degree of discipline.

Comparisons with Messi are bizarre simply because Leo is better than Neymar in every aspect at that age too except the weak foot which really does not matter for Messi.Forget Vickery what surprises me is the huge number of Brazilian's thinking he is already the third best player in the world and is guaranteed to be better than C.Ronaldo and some that he is a superior talent to Messi although some do admit he isn't thankfully.

One should come to expect that from Brazilians though. They've had a crap team for years (relative to their best) but every tournament they expect to dominate.

Messi's right foot is absurdly good. My best mate is a big Barca fan and I've ended up watching probably 200+ Barca games the last 5 years. He's not one footed, it's more that his left foot is so immensely good it overshadows that he's really fairly two footed. The same can be said about his heading ability... for someone who's 5'6 or whatever, he's quite good at heading the ball.

No I never meant it that way.Messi's right foot is very good(just look at his third goal in the Cl) even though he doesn't need it that much but Neymar's weak foot is very very strong,it was more of a comparison with Neymar.Similarly I agree his heading technique is also very good.Basically when your technique is at the highest point it can be one can do anything with a football perfectly.

Neymar seems a player who just plays selfish football. He wants to dribble past everybody, that's how he scores. I've always wondered if he will end up being that good of a player because if he goes to the prem or spain where it's based on how well a club moves the ball together, he may just not fit in.

Either that or he'll be like another Messi we'll all have to deal with.
