What did I miss?? Stadium Sponsorship Money????

Been on the cards for years and Gourlay confirmed that it was max 12 months away at the EGM for the CPO vote back in October.

It's happening. It would have happened sooner but the club wants to find the right sponsor for both the fans and the club and keep the Stamford Bridge in the new official name.

Good stuff about the 'big project' in the summer - out will go Malouda, Kalou, Drogba, Bosingwa and maybe even Mikel (no gurantee Lamps will stay either..), and that money plus the Stadium sponsorship money we'll get this summer plus our regular budget will help us rebuild - in such a way that we won't need to again for a while, only minor tinkering will be required in future summers.

Good times ahead, I am sure.

The "big" project has in no way been confirmed, if it has I'd like to see a link, it could just simply be bringing in 1 or 2 players and nothings been confirmed so I wouldnt get to excited. Whatever moves we make have to be offset for the FPP rules as well.
All the players you have mentioned have given great service to the club and helped bring success.
There are many reasons why they are seen as struggling this season, a new manager trying out new tactics that just dont suit them is one, age and injuries are others.
I wish fans werent so fickle about players, especially Drogba - he has a better strike rate than Torres and has been incredible for us. Even Mikel, liked and trusted by Mourinho, and Kalou have contributed.
I bet under a different manager we would be doing better with these players in the league.

He's joining us at TGI's? Might have to get the double glazed ribs if he's buying.

Should move this to the general football thread, he is such a great player, I am sure wherever he ends up he'll do 'discuss worthy' stuff

Typo. Using touchscreen keyboard. You'll more than likely see that I do this very often.

Ridiculous. Would love to sign him. Personally, even if he didn't sign for us, he should do what Ronaldo did. Come here, bulk up, toughen up, play in one of the best leagues in the world, then after 5/6 seasons, then go to Spain, when Messi and Ronaldo won't be as prominent. Because even on that point, he won't overtake those two at the moment.

His pace with the ball is fantastic and he's a definite game changer, but even those goals demonstrate some of his weaknesses with close-control (several very poor touches there that he got lucky with). At this stage a huge luxury player that will require a lot of adaptation.
