Cavani reveals Chelsea dream-

http://www.skysports...5616651,00.html

Cavani-"I want to play at Chelsea or Juventus. Palermo is going to be the trampoline that will launch me because I want to play in a giant team in the same way my idle Amauri did."

"I am fine at Palermo but in the future I would like to play at a giant European team and if I could chose I would like to do it at Chelsea or Juventus," he added.

I have to be honest I haven't seen much of him a match or two,I saw him score 2 goals against Juve though.one thing that I know for sure is he is pretty good in the air..
he is said to be in fine form in Seria A this season..how much do you guys rate him?

I rate him immensely. Firstly he is only 22 years old. Secondly, he is built for the EPL. Good in the air, good finish, and even though he isn't the fastest out there, his movement and run making is brilliant. He also comes from a very decent background, so I don't think he will get too cocky for himself after he moves to a bigger club. I can't be certain if he will succeed here, but I think he will have a good chance. I'd rate him next to the likes of Dzeko.

However, I also think that in 3 seasons time, Di Santo will be the same kind of player Dzeko and Cavani are (if he gets to play regularly in the EPL).

He's a million times better than Kalou, I'll tell you that much.

Nice to hear young players saying they want to join us :)

Haven't seen much of him though.

I am sure we were interested in him before he joined palermo. I definetely remember hoping we could sign him back then.same type of player as Di Santo thou but looked stronger back then.

I wouldn't want to exaggerate, but seriously, Cavani could end up being one of the great players of the modern age. Still only twenty-two, which equates to about eighteen/nineteen in Italy, given their love to protect young players, he could end up being fantastic. Whether he would fit into our system or not is up for debate, but having a player like him around the squad could only be a good thing, and it's unbelievable news that he is interested in joining us.

Thumbs up from me too. Good player perhaps on the cusp of great things. One to keep an eye on.

It looks like we are interested in him (I know it is the Daily Mail, but this is not the first link to be fair). I think he would be a good signing especially if Drogba leaves. However, I would be loath to pay £35m for him, when he could of been had for £16m last summer. Also, if he does come I won't expect to see him until the summer, as I would imagine Napoli will want him to try and knock us out and try to get themselves back up the league table.

A funny comment from Cavani's agent Raiola:

Mino Raiola said:

"As for reports of Chelsea’s interest in Hamsik and Edinson Cavani, those came out of The Sun, a paper that frankly isn’t even good for cleaning car windows, If Roman Abramovich had wanted Cavani and Hamsik, after reading the story in that paper, he would’ve changed his mind."

Good to see that Mino Raiola knows more about the Sun than half the posters on here.

If I had the choice I would sooner us go for Lavezzi, for me, he has the lot. I'm not saying Cavani is poor, he is far from that but as a package I personally think Lavezzi is a sound footballer with a great football brain.

Sadly I thought the same, di Santo was fast strong in the air, tenacious, and at least in reserves level was composed. Scored a bundle on reserves league. So close yet so far. I like cavani, buti like lavezzi more. Tevez lite in many ways
