Of those 17 chances I'd hazard a guess that 75% of them were just shots from outside the box.

Careful Ian McGarry may pick up on that.

Doesnt matter if they are from the half way line - a good striker will score from where ever.
Torres had 2 good chances INSIDE the box to wint he game and we only needed one goal.
One was well saved and the other he put just wide of the post. AVB called him "unlucky"

Robbie Keane had 2 shots and scored from both of them, 1 was outside the box.
If yiou watched the game you would have seen crosses, corners all going in the box, but the players ALL went from near post when the ball went far or we just didn't gamble enough and the decent balls were wasted
When we did move the ball quick we cut them open but again were wasteful

Their goalie was MOM - what does that tell you?!!

I'm saying we didn't create 17 real chances. Our statistics are skewed by our ridiculous and wasteful efforts from outside the box.

Is that the same Robbie Keane who struggled to get a game at now relegated West Ham? Please, you can't compare Torres' situation to him. And he had one clear cut chance in 90 minutes, first one he's had for a few games, yes he missed it, but I would've only been frustrated with him if he missed 2-3 clear cut chances. Also out of those 17 chances, which ones were created for him? How many were clear cut? Come on, stop acting ignorant.

Did you see the game today? Clear chance for Torres - puts it wide. The lad is muck and will never do well for us. Other strikers would have scored. Its the strikers, plenty of chances being created - we had like 17 chances or something

Haha. If you just love to look at stats, and not bother understanding what actually constitutes 'chances' in this team, why don't you just stick to Football Manager. If 'chances' can be categorised as 'real' chances, or 'pot shots', I think we would have 0 to 17.

I hope you know real chances for strikers are ones where teams like Barca and Utd constantly create for their strikers. If not, go watch them, and tell me the difference in the quality of the 'chances' they created as opposed to the half-arsed 'chances' we apparently 'create'.

I think we don't need him! Lukaku seems like ready for first team. I was pretty impressed with his performance yesterday. We do not need a striker. We need an attacking midfield player.

napoli drew senna today, something tells me cavani can be possible! I honestly think he would join us prior to our cl tie, I'm saying napoli has no chance of making to top 3 in seria A......
