Most park players could score it...in training...against cones. I mean if the game wasn't fundamentally about athleticism, consistency, temperament and intelligence Lee Trundle would have been playing for Real Madrid by now. I think Ramires's techniques decent, I can't remember his first touch letting him down, or his finishing, ever. Range of passing may not be Lampard's, but then how many players do have that?

Yeah, he'd be ordinary if he wasn't a freak athlete, but then so would Messi. That little tosser's played ceaselessly for two years at more or less exactly the same level, basically excelling at running fast in a straight line with the ball under perfect control. Unstoppable. But take 2 yards of pace off him and he's just going round in circles, suddenly you've got old-Romario on your hands.

It has let him down and is his biggest weakness.I think yes his technique is average but nonetheless he has become one of our most important players in the squad because of his athleticism. As for Messi, well yes his pace and athleticism is greatly important but that doesn't warrant for ridiculously cool finishes and as near perfect control and technique ever seen in football shown by very very few players. His consistency of course is astounding although I am not surprised that this season took a toll on him as he has had to literally carry his team mates in the latter part,to the extent where his level fell at the worst possible time...not that I complain.

I think that it's unfair to say Rambo's not got good technique; some of his goals have been terrific (Wolves away, Barce, Citeh at home last season) where his touch and control have been wonderful. He can dribble properly and not just rely on his pace. I think just talking about his athleticism is like saying 'all' Frank does is score goals when in fact his all-round game is far better than people give him credit for.

Anyway, Rambo's going to be a big, big miss for the CL Final but we'll just have to get on with it :) Hopefully he'll continue to make a contribution in the last games of the season. For me, it's him or All Bran for player of the year.

Go Rambo!! :D

Some of the comments here are embarrasing. Speed, energy, technique (ok he does **** u sometimes) and people want to criticize. Well, he makes my team, gives us a load more attacking and defensive input than most.

Also, doubters aside, I remember almost 100% of CFCnet giving him stick in his early career and , with time, he's come good. Lets not be harsh then?

I was a doubter in the early games but certainly won over, the most energetic end to end player we have that knows how to score

Top man. He can sit next to me at the game if he wants, I'll be like he describes as we will.
