Personally I'd rather he didn't go at all, but we have to live in the real world financially now.

So we sell what is quite possibly our only world-class player on non-crazy wages?
Alex is worth much, much more than Bayern is offering, especially because we have absolutely no need to sell and we'd need another CB if we did sell him.
So, unless they want to swap Breno or Badstuber and a big, big wad of cash for Alex, I'm thinking "No, thanks".

No, you clearly misunderstood. I'm not sure how, considering I explicitly said I'd prefer he didn't go, but I suppose that's how these threads work.

So you want to drive Alex to the airport yourself do you? Buy him his ticket and pack him off to Germany for two pennies and a packet of nails?
You make me sick.

Apparently Bayern are after Alex again. Supposedly Chelsea are willing to part with him if someone bids €10m. That's about £8,9m.
And a complete joke, IMO.

Alex is a top top player.
€10m has to be some sort of sick joke...
Forget ten, we should say....
Nein.

No need to be concerned- the fee quoted demonstrates that the story is a load of rubbish.

9 or 10, € or £ is about right. Not a great player. But more than good enough for us given we already have JT and spent a fortune on Luiz.
Not bothered if Alex goes, just worried if someone at the clubs thinks our defence is a problem and wastes cash on another good value defender. Reminds me of all the fantastically cheap stuff I've gathered over the years from Decathlon and Lidl when I need a proper shirt and tie.
