Big news. Contrary to what the article says, I think they are looking into a move in the very near future.
My advice to shareholders would be to vote against selling the freehold, until a new stadium plan is announced. After all it wouldn't take that long that it would put a stadium on hold, then at least you could guarantee what you were selling it for.
This was always going to happen as was a move, which will probably take place in under 5 years. I wish people would appreciate SB a bit more, as we'll miss it once it's gone.

Those who vote in favour get perks. Seems a tad untoward.

It's a shame there isn't anything more concrete in this letter about options to relocate.

Stamford bridge has seen good and bad times with lots of great memories so I want a lot more details, why buy back without any new stadium plans.

The bottom line for me is that we need greater match day receipts if we intend to be playing European football of any kind in the long term. I'm dubious of the '3 mile' stipulation, because 3 miles is still far too much for me.

Agreed, this is the fans safety net.... This vote shouldn't be taken lighty, esp with Roman in court today being sued for £3bn

Also does this mean anything significant for the fans in terms of pricing of tickets, merchandise at the stores, tours, etc.

Amazing isn't it? For some it isn't enough to be a billionaire. Anyways, a new larger stadium will help the club be financially sound when Abramovich will leave as benefactor. It hurts to say that Stamford Bridge most likely isn't the answer years down the line, but it's true I think.

We'll never regularly sell out a larger stadium (whilst the club continue to treat supporters so badly) & what atmosphere we have left will disapear just like the Emirates
We had a board in the 1970's that we could "trust" whats changed now?
And what are we going to do with the extra revenue, completely waste it on a poor transfer policy like we have for the last 5 years
Stamford Bridge is unique & we have to stay there

Don't want to believe my club could stoop to the level of sacrificing the heritage in place of revenue.
Is the original Shed End wall listed? If not, it's pretty obvious what the whole complex will be demolished in favour of: FLATS.
SAVE THE BRIDGE!
