He has great skill, good passing range, a powerful thunderous shot from range.
He's still inconsistent, he is not a holding player. He's supposed to be box-to-box, but he doesn't impose himself physically in games yet.
He is so highly rated by Manchester United, they are furious with the situation, he's been captain of most of the French youth groups & is the biggest talent in his gen, like Kakuta was in the slightly older gen.
He is at that stage where he is going to start filling out. It seems strange the idea that Pogba would be promised Champions League football, he hasn't shown the consistency that Josh has shown.
In Last years youth Cup, he was outclassed by McEachran, even Morrison stole the show from him throughout the tournament.
Even though he is a super talent, it's frustrating that all the tools hasn't come together to make him a super consistent player.
Diaby was highly rated & classes in the Vieira mould because of his physique. What we saw with Diaby is that he had the technique but wasn't commanding or imposing. Similar to the difference between Mikel & Essien. Mikel had the physique to be a bully, but, he didn't add that as part of his game.
Pogba seems somewhat in the middle, what we'd want for him is to keep the pretty side of the game, but, be a bit more 'angry'. His teammate Tunnecliffe has tonnes of that gritty determination. Still a great prospect & a steal if we get him.

It's certainly attitude and approach that make the player. There are many many players with very good technical skill, but grit will trump that.

Morrison has issues that are well documented now. Don't think the club will ever decide to take a punt on him. Pogba, along with Will Keane and Larnell Cole were my fav pick of that MU FAYC bunch.

Seen him play twice, against our youth side last season. Looked decent.
Haha.. Was that a dig? To be honest I was pretty angry when they got him in the 1st instance, not because I had seen him by then but the glowing reports & he certainly did live up to the bill. I thought he was rubbish in the FAYC games, recently even though he's been in contract disputes he's had good games, same with Ravel though. United have an Italian named Petrucci, who yesterday had a wonderful performance, unfortunately I didn't get to see

Clubs are waiting for his contract to be up Chelsea hope that they can win by signing him in January for £3m. Apparently Pogba likes the Premier League.
Chelsea scouts were at yesterdays reserve game, the story came from eavesdropping on them.
I believe it's authentic, however, just because we want him, doesn't necessarily mean he wants us.

Thanks for the info LosNum; I appreciate it. Two things I'd like to follow up on, one of which is alluded to in your post here.
First, and I'm not meaning to suggest that the players are similar but, in terms of their relative qualities for their particular positions, which of Kakuta or Pogba would you choose if it had to be one or the other?
Second, you quite rightly point out that, even if our interest is serious, Pogba may prefer another club. I wonder therefore if you have an opinion about how Pogba's thoughts on Chelsea might have been affected by Kakuta's situation? As you may remember, I think Gael's lack of progression is his own fault and not the club's but I'm well aware that not everyone sees it like that.
