Think there was no need for a separate thread tbf.
Yet there are some developments of late so sharing this:
NOTTINGHAM Forest's hierarchy will meet this afternoon to discuss the future of teenage striker Patrick Bamford.
Premier League giants Chelsea have made a £1.5m bid for the 18-year-old and, while manager Steve Cotterill would prefer to see him continue his development at the City Ground, the Reds may still be tempted to sell.
Cotterill confirmed that the Newark youngster has so far rejected two offers of a new contract this season and, while he would not be able to leave on a free at the end of the season when his current deal expires, as he is under the age of 24, he could move to another club with compensation to be decided by a tribunal.
Forest may not wish to take that risk - while the money from the deal could also give Cotterill a bigger budget to make loan signings, with the club in desperate need of a defender to replace Wes Morgan, who will complete a £1m move to Leicester City today.
With the transfer window set to close tomorrow evening at 11pm, Cotterill is racing against time if he wants to make a permanent addition to the squad, although he would be able to sign a player on loan - which is the more likely option - when the loan window opens again in just over a week.
