Nathan Ake wins the Under 17 Euros with Netherlands as captain. 1 Chelsea player featured in the tournament, and he was the one to lift the cup. Lovely.

So what's happening with the young guys in China? How many games are they playing? And when are they due back?

Won all three of their games in the group stage (seven-a-side, seven-minute halves)
Chelsea 1 Yau Yee League Select 0 (Piazon)
Chelsea 2 HKFA Lions 1 (Deen-Conteh, Lalkovic)
Chelsea 3 Kitchee 1 (Lalkovic, Baker, Ashton)
Then the boys were up til 6am local time watching the final in the hotel. Perhaps a factor in today's results
Lost in Quarter-final (10-min halves)
Chelsea 0 Sunderland 2
Lost consolation shield final to Leicester in golden goal extra time
Chelsea 2 Leicester 3 (Clifford, Piazon)
So overall, not amazing to be fair but a valuable trip for them. Had the strongest team I think. Newcastle won

Thanks.
That's a shame. All about experience, though.

Season's over and dragged half way round the world. Experience in pointlessness. Having said that, hope they got some enjoyment, must have been fun crowded round a tv at 6am watching the final. Not as much fun as being there like all their teammates or even on the pitch like some of them but some small consolation anyway.

They probably had about two hours sleep so no surprise they went out.

Well did they actually sleep, even for those 2 hours? Must have been buzzing for likes of Kane Nate Jamal Berti & others.
Besides the peno against Sunderland, Russell said it was dubious.

They're young guys, not first team players who've played 50 plus games this season.

Wasn't concerned about them being tired (not after less than 90 minutes of football), just seemed pointless after the season has finished. Can't be very motivating going away with Dermot for the first week of your summer holidays :-)
