For sure, Belletti had played at the highest level for a decade. But I more mean a focused RWB whose comfortable supporting the midfield. Also adds that long shot thread which I feel we lack in the squad.

Think Sanchez is phenomenal, but not interested in him based on cost. Also don't think a better first choice is what we require, as I'd rather the club looked to depth. I do like Oxlade-Chamberlain as an upgrade over Moses though. Just as a type this, I saw Gurj's post... and Belletti was the exact type of player I was thinking. He's got a helluva shot on him Ox, and an excellent physique. For me, he's really a "nearly put it together" player. Not ready to make it as a superstar, but definitely able to contribute as an important player at Chelsea.

Feels like Falcao all over.... We can save a broken down heap that has fallen at one of our rivals, and besides "what's 9mil".

Doesn't look like it'd diminish his value. 20m is peanuts... His contract keeps him here till the end of the 2019 season too.

Yep and the "what if" is what excites me most! Loved seeing Costas game translate so well

I think that's the best part about these 'imminent' rumours, you don't have to wait long for them to be dismissed by reality :)

Not wrong pal, I've been away for over a year myself because the hysteria killed me. Really enjoyed watching the last season and not having a microscope constantly focused on all the flaws in the side.

Well said Harvz, I was really hopeful and excited but never fully convinced. Belotti and Morata did excite me more, but that may be the unknown factor. I haven't seen enough of either of them to be convinced that they'd be a success.

Love how the transfer forum hasn't changed btw.

I'd love to have Chicharito at Chelsea. Phenomenal goal scorer Not as a first choice though :)

For real though, if you're breaking the bank for a striker, you want them to get a solid pre-season with the side

Would have liked to have Lukaku back at Chelsea, but not devastated if we miss out on him. It's not that I'm not convinced by him, it's just that I don't think he's so important we need to smash out record for him. Sandro on the other hand is genuine world class quality who would step us up a level. That would disappoint me.

Yeah, I'd say Sandro could do a similar job! Can't see us walking into 2017/18 without one of the two as our preferred LB

I'm confident on Lukaku just because we actually have players that can whip in a cross now. Lukaku is very good at getting himself into a smart position, and strong enough to hold it. Would like to see what he can do with consistent delivery from Alonso
