  1. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Regarding Rajkovic a clause makes sense. In regards to Delac it does not, considering that we have been out to state he WILL be with us from next season. Hence my comments. So my comment "braindead" was just a way to demonstrate how insanely stupid that would be IF it was true. Regarding Matic it it highly surprising - unless Roman just bought him as a stop gap to do his friend a favour.
  2. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Well if that's true we are braindead. Why buy players, wait a year before they are allowed to sign and then ship them on loan with a clause. Makes no sense whatsoever.
  3. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Where have you heard that Vitesse would have a purchase clause? Delac will 100% not have it. He jst signed and was shipped there for experience. Would also be surprised if Matic had one as well. Only Rajkovic would make sense. Regarding the bold part. That would be exactly why Delac wouldn't have such a clause wouldn't it? I mean, he is afterall a Chelsea player.
  4. Non Chelsea: Champions League

I would not think about the difficulty to progress from the group when looking at potential opponents, but rather for fun away games. In pot 2 almost every single team we could get would be a good away day. Real for the José factor but also because of their high profile and it would mean we can't face them until a potential QF. Bremen would be good, close and afairly nice city. Roma with Claudio and also a great city. Shaktar Donetsk would be awesome. Never been to the Ukraine before. Benfica feels slightly boring but Marseille and Valencia would both be great away days. Panathinaikos would be a bit far but in terms of atmosphere etc I think that could be the best of the whole lot in pot 2. Pot 3 I'd obviously like Rangers, Ajax or Copenhagen. Either of those three would be marvellous. Lived in Copenhagen for 6 years prior to moving to London so would be like a "home" game for me. Amsterdam is great, was there for pre-season and it would be much better when thinking about 3,000 Chels in the city. Rangers for obvious reasons. The rest in pot 3 I'd like to avoid. In pot 4 Auxerre, Twente or Partizan Belgrad looks the most interesting. Would hate to get Rubin Kazan (way too far) or Cluj (again).
  5. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Off as in permanently off? He was at Blackburn last year right? I can see him getting more playing time at Wigan to be honest so probably a good move for him.
  6. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Cheers! I thought you meant up at CFCnet. No wonder I didn't find it! EDIT: Good read by the way!
  7. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

    Is that report up yet?
  8. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Went to the Bridge yesterday and Chelsea played in some sort of 4-3-3 with Walker; B Clifford, Ince, Mancienne, Van Aanholt; Chalobah, C Clifford, McEachran; Mellis, Borini, Tore. Seemed like Mellis and McEachran were swapping positions at times. Sala, Lalkovic and Kaby came on later on for Mellis, Clifford and Tore. I thought 15-year old Chalobah had an absolute blinder of a debut at DM. His passing was awesome - neat and crisp and his feet incredibly quick. Really good ball control and his understanding of the game for such a tender age was impressive. Still a schoolboy but judged on yesterdays performance this was only one of many more to come in the reserves for him this season. McEachran and Mellis had good games as well although Mellis struggled to get anything useful out of his time on the ball. I would assume he'll leave the club on loan soon? C Clifford had a ok game as well with a few trademark long shots and nice ball retention. Van Aanholt looked up for it at LB and had some nice runs down the left flank. Mancienne a massive disappointment in my book. He looked very uncomfortable and made some silly mistakes at the start of the game. Ince looked the better CB. Tore and Borini disappointing as well. Sala looked much better than Tore when coming on and I still struggle to see what Carlo sees in Borini. Just another Di santo minus the height. Neither has showed anything to suggest they'll make it at the highest level. Borini doesn't really have anything about him that stands out. His pace is ok but not exceptional. He is not a particularly good finisher (it's actually quite bad at times), he has nothing to offer in the air and his dribbling and general technique is not by any means any better than your average 19-year old that plays at this level. He is lightyears behind Sturridge for example. Overall we should have killed the game off in the first 45 mins.
  9. Media / Press

Thx for the link mate. It really is startling to see how the media handled the whole "affair". And to think that Terry lost his England captaincy over this, that Vanessa had her private life splashed out all over the media (what on earth does her father committing suicide have to do with anything?) and that a whoole nation actually cared whether they had an affair or not is just so sad. Far too many idiots in this country that has not intellect or ability to think for themselves.
  10. Didier Drogba

Drogba has also got a direct hand in 3 other goals apart from the three scored and three directly assisted to. What a player he is. Superb on Saturday against Wigan as well.
  11. Injury News

Agreed. Completely waste of time. And what, 3-4 days before the start of the season after a WC year? Madness.
  12. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

JT/Gallas, JT/Riccy and Rio/Vidic are among the best central defense pairings I've ever witnessed live. EDIT: Oh, and Leboeuf/Desailly at their peak with us.
  13. Media / Press

Where's the Sun et al now apologising to Terry? Perroncell denies affair with JT.
  14. Media / Press

Imagine if it would have been Ashley Cole instead of Rooney and JT instea dof Anderson. This would have been splashed all over the media with the normal rants. Rooney smokes and urinates in public and Anderson crashes a car after returning home from a nightclub at 7am in the morning.
  15. Gael Kakuta

Thx for the link mate. Saw quite a bit of him last season, every minute live that he played for the first team, but also a few games at reserve level. One thing that strike sme is that technically he would be one of the best in the first team squad already. He is quick, drives the ball well and attacks defenders with purpose. A type we are desperately in need of. But he is still drifting in and out of games and can go unnoticed for long periods, even at reserve level. Hopefully he'll take a step forward this season and getting more playing time with us.
  16. Injury News

Getting quite worried now. Drogba out for three weeks (back in training in time for the WBA game, he could end up missing most action until mid/end September. Alex the same, Riccy talking about leaving, Cole linked to Real, Ballack, Belletti, Deco and J Cole gone, one transfer (Y Benayon) who is out injured as well and will miss the start of the season. Ivanovic, Terry, Lampard, A Cole, Ferreira, Carvalho, Deco, Drogba, Kalou, Malouda, Anelka etc will be back late to training due to the WC. I think we will end up playing some of the younger players for the start of the season and we better pray they are ready. Otherwise we could effectively have dropped the league come end of October. Surprised the club haven't done more to tackle the problems we all knew we'd have since it was a WC year. That we haven't even strengthened the squad one bit (we're much weaker than last season in my view), pus the older players are one year older and still gets injured apparanetly. We're playing a dangerous game I think with not siging atleast 2 more players to the squad.
  17. New Kits

Not that I disagree with you on your stance of our kits. They are horrible and our kits should always be Blue/White/(possible minor details in yellow) - white/blue - yellow blue. The red away has had its history with us but nowadays the fans would go beserk with a red away kit. So that's a no. I could accept the occassional experiment I.e. black, midnightblue and other colours. But the norm should be blue/white, yellow/blue, white/blue. However, as far as I am informed (from what should be a reliable source) the 3rd kit is not green... He should know as well for sure so I am iinclined to believe him unless someone has tried to mislead him.
  18. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

100% agreed. Mitrovic who is a fellow countryman of me and the goalscorer in last seasons FA Youth Cup team will struggle to make it as well I think. Borini is too lightweight and although he had good movement and pace, his finishing is poor and he isn't particularly technical or good in the air. Di Santo has nothing, I can't understand what he is still doing with us, and Sinclair will not make it either - not with us atleast. Hutchinson, Mancienne, Cork, Kakuta, Van Aanholt, Bertrand, McEachran etc could but they are all midfielders or defenders.
  19. New Kits

Wow... So it isn't just a horrible rumour. This will be very interesting to see...
  20. New Kits

I actually love the new away kit. Not at all bad and much better than anything we had last season.
  21. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

First sort of indication that some of the youngsters may actually indeed get game time this season, even in the Premier League. "The players we have got here now [training at Cobham], we have to get them into the right fitness condition so that they are prepared to play, because we might not be able to use the guys coming back from the World Cup for the first couple of games. So these young men have to be primed and ready to perform." Ray Wilkins
  22. New Kits

Agreed. It's either the black/grey/orange one or the black/light blue one as 2nd or 3rd kit. Of those two I definitely prefer the black/orange one. The last kit will have to be different in terms of base colour. Green someone says? Could be a new cult shocker that we'll speak about for years to come much as the grey/tangerine one.
  23. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

I saw him in 4-5 games including the youth cup run last season and he is a very special player. I saw it the first time I watched him play. Hard to tell if he'll make it as he seems a bith lightweight still but only 17 so time on his side. Definitely think he is in with a shout of making his debut this season for the first team, either in a low key league game or one of the cups. Biggest talent I've ever seen coming out of the academy. We do have a whole batch of talented youngsters born in the span of 1988 (Mancienne) to 1993 (McEachran) with a few exciting ones to watch in the 94 batch as well. Would be surprised of none of these lads make it here.
  24. New Kits

I like it as well. Shirt sponsor is horrible though.
  25. Ashley Cole

There you go. We might as well just stick out heads in the sand. Atleast it preserves sanity.
