  1. Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur

Just Silva and Pulisic will be off playing world cup qualifiers, as well as Mendy still in Cameroon. You'd expect that none of them will play against Plymouth.
  2. Yes we've been done like a kipper by the sky sports international roadshow. Lukaku (for some reason) wants to appease the Inter ultras that are constantly abusing him and does a stupid but meaningless interview and so Sky Sports Italia sit on it until big brother in the UK needs something to hype up their product and give the heads on Sky Sports News something to talk about. Don't believe any of it!
  3. Following Chelsea's Loans

Gallagher and Broja to replace Barkley and Saul in the squad for next season please.
  4. Chelsea 3 Leeds United 2

We have two players in the squad from the 2012 scholar intake - Christensen and Loftus-Cheek. We have two players in the squad from the 2015 scholar intake - Chalobah and Mount. We have one player in the squad from the 2016 scholar intake - James. We have one player in the squad from the 2017 scholar intake - Hudson-Odoi. Gallagher and Jaime Cumming are from the same group as James. Ampadu and Gilmour are from the same group as Hudson-Odoi. Anjorin, Broja and Maatsen are potential first-team squad players from the 2018 scholar intake. Colwill is a possibility from the 2019 group. I would call one first-team squad player from every two scholar age intakes a success for the academy, meaning about one in twenty-five or so. Even if the production rate slows a little from the current level with increased competition we'll still be doing exceptionally well.
  5. Following Chelsea's Loans

Gallagher has to be in the squad next season, with hopefully Saul and Barkley shipped out. Gilmour might need another season in the PL before we have space for him, but we desperately need someone else that sits and maintains possession - we're far too reliant on Jorginho being fit.
  6. Chelsea Women

If anyone needs a Super League, it's the women.
  7. Chelsea 1 Southampton 1 (4 - 3 on penalties)

I understood his point to be that Maka only became a DM when he had more experience - the same could be said for Mikel, but he was also a giant. English football is typically very suspicious of playing a playmaker-type midfielder deep in central midfield, rather than a big strong tackler. Gilmour may been seen as the heir to Jorginho's role, but getting him experience in the same position in the PL is going to be very difficult as shown by the Norwich experience. So, do you ship him out to a league of lower quality where he can play in this preferred role, or keep him in the PL and ask him to play further forward whilst he gains more experience? I'd prefer the latter.
  8. Transfer Talk Topic

We can't really afford to lose Rüdiger in 2022. It's likely that Thiago Silva will leave at the end of the season, with Azpi hopefully having one more year in him. We need another experienced defender to see us through this period, and we'd have to pay a bomb for anyone close to the quality of the players we'll be losing.
  9. Chelsea 1 Southampton 1 (4 - 3 on penalties)

5 subs now in the league cup makes things a bit easier in terms of team selection and taking some risks.
  10. Newcastle United 0 Chelsea 3

Be careful if the home fans start singing "you're going home in a Turkish suitcase".
  11. Brentford 0 Chelsea 1

This needs an update - still showing Brentford at Braemar Road!
  12. Give him a run of games in his natural position and let's see, whether that's here or elsewhere.
  13. Chelsea 3 Aston Villa 0

Five left-footed players in the starting line-up! Plus it must be nice for Ross to get some fresh air.
  14. Squad Status: 2021/22 Season

I don't think we've ever registered 25 list A players for the CL before.
