King Kante Report post Posted August 12, 2018 Baka has apprantly got his loan agreed. Option for Milan to buy at €40m, which would be our money back. Hopefully, they like him.

Hopefully, they like him. Are Milan likely to be that stupid? I doubt. Bakayoko showed very very early in a Chelsea shirt just how awful he was going to be. Things will have to drastically change (unlikely) for Milan to be impressed.

Very early in his career, he played Spurs at Wembley in the opening game and was very good in terms of energy. He was also very good towards the end of the season. His movement was OK but his passing was too inconsistent. At the start, I was ready to be critical because I would have preferred to keep Nate Chalobah. But he was not "awful". He was young and he struggled with the normal pace and press of the Premier League. He simply was not able to develop into the kind of player Jorginho is (I.e. the ability to assess passes ahead of time and execute them quickly with one or, at most, two touches). Even our young players struggle with it. If you watch RLC, he only plays one-touch when he has time to think about it. Players like Kante play it when they don't. Playing for Milan might suit Bakayoko better.

Serie A will suit him far better, the less frenetic pace of their league means he won’t be as hassled on the ball as much as here. I would have much rather kept Chalobah and said at the time, but Bakayoko became a bit of a scapegoat at times, though the Watford game will live long in the memory as one of the worst performances ever in a Chelsea shirt. Yup. I went to Atletico away in September last year, and he and Kante were immense. I left the game thinking what a brilliant pair we had in there. Watford away was just an embarrassment for a professional footballer.
