As the best, Kratos - you'll get there - keep the faith - all things must pass.
chara Report post Posted May 19 Strange affair.... after how many years at Chelsea we are hearing "hints" of MH issues....if this is true then the greatest sympathy and good wishes and no sarcasm. Questions still linger though....why would one of the top clubs in the world take him on a free with apparently known (inhouse) problems? An unreliable employee rarely if ever lasts long anywhere....many "Talents" throughout the game have been shifted out due to behaviour/attitude issues. AC has been retained for a long time. Curious not vindictive. I

I'll feel better when the takeover is finished and I don't have to read how we are going under every day. We all know it's so stressful supporting Chelsea fc 🤣

I feel for you kratos. My brother suffered a breakdown when he just started secondary school, and that was almost fifty years ago when he was thirteen. In truth he has never really recovered fully, but he is married for nearly thirty five years with three lovely children. Mental health is the poor relation in the national health service. He was also a very good footballer...but not as good as me😉 take care.
Ro61 Report post Posted May 20 Thinking about about Christensen.I remember my brother telling me a story when he was playing in a cup final against their main rivals. He was super confident at the time.He played in midfield and was charged to take care of the opposition's 'star player'. He had him in his pocket until he was nutmeged and the star player went on to score the winning goal.He blamed himself, lost all confidence and in the end gave up football. I remember Christensen getting roasted by Vinicious at Stamford Bridge against Madrid. He should never have left 1on1 with Vinicious - he was subsequently taken off.He is not a defender to stop wide players.Tuchel got it wrong. I wonder does he blame himself for poor showings just like my brother.
Sleeping Dave Report post Posted May 21 Christensen is, I believe, not struggling with mental health issues. He is however struggling with IBS which would explain him withdrawing from games in the last minute a few times. I don’t know this for a fact, just rumours that I’ve heard. But sure, he isn’t a mentally strong player and imo not quite good enough to be a starter for a club like ours. He wouldn’t be starting at Man C or Liverpool. So if we have ambitions he shouldn’t start here either. It seems Kounde may be a signing we do make. Still a proper CB short even if we sign him.
