My Blood Is Blue

West Ham 3 Chelsea 2

So Jorginho is carrying a hip injury. Alonso got injured. Havertz got injured. Lukaku is coming back from a bad injury and looked it.

I think sometimes we ought to reserve judgement on individual performances. West Ham didn’t actually play that well. Tuchel went for it with his subs and we lost to a fluke goal. Considering the players that are either missing, or carrying injuries, it was two crass mistakes from our normally reliable keeper that cost us. That’s the frustrating part.

Well then we were lucky not lose 7-2 then, because there were a dozen back or side passes to Mendy that were as bad as that one.  I'll stick with 2-98 blame

Absolute BS from the fanboy.

Has there been an update on Havertz injury? He looked to be in a lot of pain.

‘Kai has huge pain, Marcos Alonso has back pain, so it's another two substitutes due to injury,’ he (TT) reported.

Oh dear - Ham go watch the match.  And what am I, specialist fanboy because I rate the guy 3rd in ballon d'or and UEFA player of the year almost as highly as the guy who was 5th ?

I'm not sure we can afford a neat and tidy, rinky dink midfielder who doesn't really do anything else apart from the occasional hoppity skip penalty. The reason why people can't see the point of Jorghino is perhaps, not that they are idiots, but because there really is not enough to his game. De Bruijne for example can do everything he can do and a whole lot more.

Jorginho never shies away from receiving the ball, accepts it in tight spaces, releases the ball to get the game going and does it at the right time so the player receiving the ball has extra time, he covers space; just because he isn't a battering ram doesn't mean he doesn't do his job. Without him we struggle to bring the ball out from the back, every player has strengths and weaknesses but it seems like he gets battered every time we drop points. He has had no central midfielder alongside him for far too many games, just because RLC starts at CM doesn't mean he is one, it's just the only option we have. Jorginho and Kovacic together are brilliant because they know what each other needs off the other, countless times today RLC either ran off and left Jorginho alone or stood 5 yards from him and not moving at all but watching him play. Crazy how he's the only real central player we have and instead of thinking he needs support, we look to beat him down.

De Bruyne can't do what Jorginho can do, he operates higher up the pitch for a reason, otherwise with the amount of possession City have they'd just play De Bruyne instead of Rodri.

And it's just a coincidence we haven't been anywhere near a title challenge since we started to build a team around him?

Who the heck builds a team around a player who's main attribute is being neat and tidy on the ball 60 yards from the opponent's goal and a player who can barely run with a ball.  2 goals from open play well into his 4th season. Just as bad as his other partner in crime Kovacic, who has two league goals well into his 4th season.

Yes, that's 4 league goals between the two of them well into their 4th season by two players who are seen as crucial to us

🤠🤠🤠

The CL winners and the EC winners for a start.
I don't know where you have been for the last 11 months, but Jorginho has been excellent in the games you haven't been watching.
