So, here's an interesting statistic. In the almost 12 months that TT has been in charge, he was won more away games at Spurs, than Spurs have at Stamford Bridge since 1986.

Drink it in.

Statistics are always interesting.

I also read somewhere that TT has kept his arm folded 256% more than Klopp :)

Tottenham's dire record against us will never cease to be amusing. Especially considering it was even WORSE pre-Roman.

"In the years since I first joined Chelsea the club has only not reached a cup final in four of those seasons. " - Petr Cech in his article today.

Stunning record to think about, and in 2 of those seasons (04 and 14) we reached the CL Semis. In another (11) the title was in our own hands until losing the 3rd last game. It's only the 16 season that was an absolute write off, and even then we had the joy of annoying Spurs at the end.

The trophyless seasons record is another nice one to ponder. Since Roman, we have only failed to win a trophy in 04, 08, 11, 14, 16 and 20. We have never gone consecutive trophyless seasons under Roman.

Even with Roman's backing and what not and having the financials to build strong squads, it's still a stunning achievement. United since Fergie left and Liverpool are nowhere near such a record. City are the only ones.

Appreciated.

A stunning achievement indeed. Our UEFA coefficient ranking during that period speaks for itself. A reminder to any manager who comes in, and every player, that we are unashamedly Chelsea, not Spurs.

Abramovich in a recent statement made no bones about his goal when he bought the club - to make sure we always have a team that can compete. In other words, we are about the sports of football.

Interesting that when we started sacking managers, we were the anti-football. These days managers being sacked barely makes it to the bottom corner of the football pages of the tabloid.

We still carry a reputation for not giving managers time, but the results speak for themselves. The Chelsea system works.

Absolutely. We brought in common sense where sentiments ruled unchecked.

Even if the Ghost Goal hadn't been given, we still needed to score, and we didn't.

Struggled to get that Gudjohsen miss out of my head at the time, was so close to going in off Charragher’s ass.
