Super Kenny Monkou Report post Posted February 27 Do the scousers ever loose a penalty shoot out?
Leo91 Report post Posted February 27 Just now, Bison said: The so-called penalty specialist comes one, doesn't save a single penalty and then misses his own. The only silver lining of this defeat is that this penalty specialist nonsense has come to an end. Why would you take off the man who literally saved a penalty to win the AFCON just a few weeks ago? Also coming off the bench you don't have the same alertness as someone who's been in the game for 120 minutes. The ONE time it's worked I've seen was Krul for Netherlands, they tried it again in the next round and lost. For some reason it's been a thing to bring on your ''penalty saving specialist''. It's the same old story: play well, miss easy chances. Kepa is a goalkeeper who missed a penalty. Won't name names but we know who should have won us that game. chelboy Report post Posted February 27 I can understand why TT made that sub. Thing is with the way Mendy was performing during the game he just looked more focused for the occasion. It’s a shame but I can understand why he made that sub.
SS_89 Report post Posted February 27 Penalties weren't the reason we lost but that should be the last time kepa is brought on for pens ever. I don't want to pile on the guy it was on tuchel for putting him in there. We had 3 sitters and 3 offside goals 1 of which was a shocker. Imo the loss is on mount he missed two absolute sitters and he should really take a long hard look at himself, his finishes and his performances this season. You obviously have an agenda, but this is moronic ****.
Leo91 Report post Posted February 27 It's just funny how our finishing is impeccable when we're offside.
boratsbrother Report post Posted February 27 (edited) Can't win every Cup we play in. For me, the most encouraging thing was the way we were able to compete with and cause trouble to a Liverpool team that's been in top form, while we still have several players who are inconsistent and misfiring. Sort that out, then we might well challenge them next season. Edited February 27 by boratsbrother
Jonny_CFC Report post Posted February 27 Something so predictable about the whole thing. We score multiple times but all offside, no chance even the tight calls going our way with var. Then penalties against them which never seem to go our way. Its getting harder to be annoyed now days. It is what it is.
