Ham Report post Posted March 15 1 hour ago, Diddymen said: Surely if it was available, Chelsea would have considered bidding for the land? No because Roman was no longer interested beyond 2018. The new owners might well be and this development company don't seem to have any firm plans for what to do. I think this is very much a goer.

Ruudboy Report post Posted March 15 28 minutes ago, Mark Kelly said: Literally , all they have to do is put someone from the Home office in charge of the accounts department at Chelsea and holder of the cheque books and Credit cards until the club is sold , that way we can continue to function until the sale goes through , I fail to see why they are making an easy situation , difficult . You mean, put the club into administration (I've been there, it's not a nice place ...)? Can't see why they don't do so - maybe they're trying to allow the lack of income to render the club insolvent, in which case an administrator will have to be appointed and the decision made whether to declare bankruptcy, enter a period of administration or seek a deal with creditors. Sounds to me like HMG is using this as a threat ... either way, I agree - Eton and Oxford is no education for real life out of a rarified atmosphere.

The salient point in all of this is that the charge against RA seems to have become all about how he got the money 25 years ago. There will be different opinions about that, almost all informed by bias or agenda. It is nothing whatsoever to do with Putin, the war, the steel, the tanks or the plight of the Ukranians and the sanctions.
paulw66 Report post Posted March 15 Apparently, due to the terms of the special license that Chelsea has to continue operating, the club are unable to ask Nike to produce new shirts without the Three and Hyundai logos. This is somehow a breach This actually amuses me. The rats have jumped ship, want their logo removed, and we can't! They must be spewing. Good.

If Roman is not a "suitable" owner in 2022, then he wasn't in 2003. The PL have embarrassed themselves really. What Putin has done, some 20-30 years after Roman became wealthy has no real relevance.

NO , if you're put into liquidation you have an independent company come in from a specialist firm , I'm just suggesting , seeing as it's the government sanctioning us they send someone to oversee the day to day finance of the club and ensuring that the youth team aren't assembling rockets on the Cobham lawns etc

Easy low hanging fruit for the BBC "lazy journalism" Maybe they will start reporting other matters like COVID and 800 who died last week the coming tax hikes starting in April, controlling of the utility companies and how Joe public is being effected Putin's invasion could not have come at a better time for a government which was on the run
