This is now a test for the new owners; should they stick with TT next season. Because they way I see it, his system is far too predictable and too easy to nullify - whether in defence or attack. The worrying thing is, TT has tried every combination of players and none of them are working now and there's not one player in a good run of form. He gets criticism for the team not getting enough men forward fast enough but today we had not enough getting behind the ball. All any team has to do now to cause us massive problems is just run or pass with pace and we have no answer to it.

Chalobah has been really poor, and injured, recently. Mount is either superhuman or has been playing through knocks.

What manager can play better players but just decides not to?

I did deride our "strength in depth" earlier , with three centre halves on the bench , I expect many of the players are playing through injury and have been for some time , then you have the players that are fit but rubbish like Sarr , Barkley , Saul , as the icing on a very unappealing cake.

Well, that may be true. But if coaching was only about choosing the right combination of players, it would be down to a shoot-out between Microsoft, Apple and Google. So many times I have seen us break and look like we've never practised a counterattack - no player seems to know what they should be doing, never mind what to expect from the other players.
