  1. We rarely sell out Stamford Bridge, so why on earth do people keep saying a move would create bigger revenues? Just look at Arsenal, they are practically giving away ticket for Carling Cup games (£5) and Man City's ground isn't always full. Yes we could do about 55k attendance for Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal but I think low 40k's is pour level against the average teams. I prey the CPO do not sell. The board should concentrate on selling their corporate boxes (empty 99% of games) to generate incremental revenue rather than pushing us out of our home. Season ticket finished for me if we move.
  2. New Kits

Kit is dreadful, apart from the socks. Shame the Adidas Originals rumours didn't come true. I would have bought all three of them straight away. Think I will wait till this one becomes bargain basement at Sports Direct before adding to the collection.
  3. New Kits

Have a look at the Adidas Originals ones here: AMAZING!!
  4. New Kits

Had a search and there is a mock up rumour here using the Adidas Originals trefoil logo and laces. I love the refoil, much better than the rubbish "Equipment" logo.
  5. Gael Kakuta

Exactly - And what do you think will happen if we sell these players playing the trump card and we can't add to our squad?
  6. Gael Kakuta

it's not just the fact we can't bring in fresh face, what will this do to the current batch. If you are in the team, in trouble, out of form etc, how long will it be before the players attitude is "well what are you gonna do? sell me?" Also, those who haven't yet signed a new deal hold a massive hand now in negotiating a deal to stay.
  7. Gael Kakuta

I will not spend a single penny on UEFA CL games or merchandise this season. I've travelled Home and Away in Europe for several years but enough is enough. I know it is FIFA that have been seen to direct this but Blatter and Platini will have their filthy noses in this somewhere. Lets hope for decent domestic cup runs. IF we have broken the rules here, then whoever is reponsible - Arnesen, Kenyon, Buck? - needs to be made accountable for it. IF we do not win any form of appeal I fear this will set us back years. Peter Kenyons break even policy of signing £20-30M players (Shevchenko, Crespo, Veron) and letting them go for free, then not bringing in any new talent is back firing big time.
  8. New Kits

why bother? £30 Short sleeve. £40 long sleeve in Sports Direct.
  9. New Kits

got the long sleeve £40 at sports direct. Actually liked it a lot more in the flesh and NO ZIP. Then I tried it on and the missus says whats with the weird "lines and panels"
  10. Didier Drogba

Drogs summed up nearly every one of us felt leaving the ground last night. You can't help feel there's a hidden agenda with Uefa here and whilst we can pour our money, heart and soul into our club, we'll never really have our thoughts heard. I applaud Drogs for taking the opportunity and balls to give a message to the world watching. Platini and Blatter have got their back slapping wish.
  11. Salomon Kalou

In my opinion, Scott Sinclair should be "given a chance" over Kalou
  12. Salomon Kalou

First bit of sense I've seen from Ken in ages. I'm forever grateful to RA for what his money has helped us achieve but we are isolating the world football community from us in the way we go about business. managers do seam wary about the job, players are wary about joining us and I can see why - 6 trophies and you get the boot. He's right - our new fan base DO only care about the trophies, and expectations are ridiculously high. A lot of our fans are expecting to get the CL Final and to win the league which is ridiculous considering where we were 20, even 10 years ago. I do have to laugh at his "the ones I know and respect" line though. “And yet what is happening to the old Chelsea fans — me included — is tragic. “Yes, they will find another manager, someone will take the Russian rouble. “And, like Grant, he will get a four-year contract. And, when he fails to deliver, he will go the same way. And even the new Chelsea fans will be left asking, ‘What the f*** is going on?’
  13. New Kits

totally ripped off - £48 for a replica champions league shirt and then the embroidery is completely different on the match worn shirts.
  14. Didier Drogba

let's not forget if it had hit the net instead of the post he would be immortal today. Your petulance has caught up with you in the end Drogs.
  15. New Kits

cheers duffo - just checked the CL final version on the website, been put on there today. Bit disappointed they didn't embroid a cup on it. Only have short sleeve on the web.
