Really looking like an inspired piece of business. Now the only guy who can ping a ball about is Luiz.
  2. Chelsea vs Manchester United

I think we have come back from behind once this season to win and that was against Cardiff. You cannot have a manager who does not know what to do when his team goes behind. The third substitution felt like an F-you to the fans because his reputation and integrity was attacked. Mr Sarri is a dead man walking and it is just a matter of when.
  3. Chelsea vs Manchester United

Just watched 100% chelsea on youtube and heard some bloke calling Marina "that S**t upstairs." Real classy.
  4. The only thing I'll say to that fog is the environment became toxic due to Conte's fallout with the board and certain players. We were dreadful at times but you look at out squad as it is and it is geared to playing 3 at the back with wing backs. Sarri might have helped the players restore confidence in themselves by going with what they know and have more freedom to play better. When the seasons over he could then bring in more players in order to transition to the system he favours. Unfortunately his current approach is exposing our weaknesses big time and I think he has made a rod for his own back. Going back to that system now may not work as well because Moses is no longer here and I am not sure about Zappacosta.
  5. I won't disagree with you about our squad seeing it was basically the same squad that fell apart after last january. Where Sarri is going wrong is failing to work out how best to deploy what he has at his disposal in order to minimise the limitations. What he's trying to do is force it and it's simply not working.

So was Diego and he got sick of the bs in this league too. But I think it was a simple case the guy might be more comfortable playing in Italy and not forgetting that Milan are still quite prestigious in the eyes of many.

Also I wonder how he would cope being kicked to crap here, plus our final ball is non existent so all he would be is another body upfront.

    Solanke thought that. Silly boy.

I get what you're saying Ghost, we have been too trigger happy with the managers over the years. A few times it has been justified, e.g. AVB and Scholari. We are a good few years behind our rivals now because of the amount of money we have wasted on duds, selling off the good ones and not being able to obtain players of equal quality as replacements. Because of our utter stupidity and lack of urgency in too many transfer Windows we are now left with a squad of players which I have no idea what they are meant for. I don't blame Sarri for the current squad he inherited because that same squad finished 5th last season. But I do blame him for trying to make it do something it is not capable of doing. The sensible thing would be to have looked at the current team and establish what their strengths are and how to minimise their limitations. Because he's failed to do that we are now in the position we are in and thre is no sight of where it's going to turn around. His constant insistence that Jorginho be the driving force of this set up no matter what is actually hurting Jorginho now and the guy is crumbling under this pressure. Klopp and Pep are both younger than Sarri and have success behind them. Even Conte had success before he came here. At 60 years you have to ask where is the long term plan with Sarri? How old will he be by the time this comes together? 64, 65? That is to say if it ever does.

I cannot believe I am saying this but do you think tubby might jump at the chance of coming back here. I will now horse whip myself for blasphemy.
  11. Hey I watched spitting image lol
  12. Looking at this I just don't think there is a manager out there that can fix us until the club fixes itself in certain areas.
  13. Sadly Jose is not the answer. He takes on the platform from somebody else's work but with our current situation we are looking at years of rebuilding before we are ever ready for that again. Right now I would take something steady, try something that allows the squad to play to it's strengths despite it's limitations. Right now what we are trying is simply not working and expecting it to suddenly work like magic just shows delusion.

Very much agree with that. City have been shaping everything for years in preparation of Pep's arrival because they knew what sort of club they wanted to be. We on the other hand? Well there is not a unified vision, the club wants to sign their own players, do their own thing and expect who ever is managing the squad to just get on with it. Communication is key in any business and we seem to just black everything out and hope all goes well. For too long the club has operated this way and now there is simply no more papering over the cracks because those cracks have given way.
  15. I will never doubt JM is a winner but since he went to UTD that bitter, rigid and stubborn side of him completely took over and you could see the United players looked lost and confused every time they took to the field. OGS is doing well with them but having that dark cloud removed has made a big difference. JM will always have a special place to me for all he achieved here but I think he needs a long break from football because right now he comes off as hating it.

Oh Chara I'm so sorry, I'll keep my fingers crossed for your little trooper. I have 3 dogs myself and they are my shining light no matter how bad my day gets (case in point today). Dogs are truly remarkable, they enhance our lives in so many ways.
