So why wasn't this established on his previous visa applications?

Can some one explain the medias vehement protection of Harry Redknapp as if he's some kind of national treasure. Correctly sacked for being sh!te the media referred to the news as Harry "parts company" with Birmingham. Then within minutes the mercenary gets his tuppence halfpenny worth on the radio by slagging off his own players and criticising the club for selling players at a loss. What he fails to mention or anyone fails to ask is unlike Zola harry takes the pay off. The greedy b@stard has always been a blameshifter but what I don't get is why Brum fans are dissapointed, I understand the media want to keep him sweet so they can benefit from his wit and unrivaled analytical prowess, do me a favour! He's a self-serving dinosaur FFS spare us of his miserable chops spouting b0llocks.

That was the Pikeys weren't it? What a pathetic excuse of a club, sick of hearing it.
  7. Media / Press

The hype around that shittip is sickening, it was bad enough with West Ham last year but this takes the cake. Can you imagine if they actually win something.
  8. New Stadium Plans

Or Tooting and Mitcham perhaps, nothing worse than a politician pretending to like football

Listening to the collective scum on the Sunday Supplement really does show the pathetic sense of self importance that these hacks have. Interesting watching the 2 Sun representatives wriggling and squirming talking about Graham Taylors passing. Instead of taking responsibility for their personal attacks on Taylor they try convince us that Graham Taylor actually thought that Swedes 2 Turnips 1 was a good headline. Really? I was waiting for them to say how much he loved seeing a picture of his head in the shape of a turnip to accompany the headline, Of course Taylor isn't around any longer to refute this...how convenient. Jesus does anyone actually buy this rag?
  10. Musical Tastes

I think Doherty is just a free spirit and makes a point of being open to anything that stretches him artistically, this allows him to avoid being pigeonholed musically. He refuses to follow any musical code which is a huge part of his appeal in an age when music is so sanitised. I saw him in Birmingham e arlier this year where he had several backdrops of Hancock, I knew he identified with Hancocks addictive personality but didn't know about the Chas n Dave affiliation. New solo album later this year btw
  11. Musical Tastes

Such an underated writer, I suppose thats what gives him appeal to the likes of us. You will have to elaborate on the Chas n Dave bit .
  12. Musical Tastes

So who got the Live Aid Freddie Mercury pics?
  13. Musical Tastes

Haha, Less said about my my higher education the better, I ended up at Roehampton IHE didn't last long ! Didn't realise you were a proper shutterbug you must have seen them all. I'm with Gemma on this, I do actually think he's a musical genius and love that he never sold out. At least he gave her an opening to the business fair play for that. Not sure about Carl Barratt, I have the feeling he'd go mainstream if the money was right. I only ever went to Half Moon once, back in the 80's where I saw Rocket 88 with Charlie Watts on drums .I've long since moved away from London but notice it's still there pretty much unchanged as I pass it on the way to The Bridge. I used to have a drink in Kingston occasionally, don't know the grey horse, but the only band I ever saw there was Mungo Jerry at Kingston College. Am I right in saying Big Country were support to Bowie on the SM tour?
  14. Musical Tastes

Haha, that bloke was everywhere, Misty and the roots! Blimey that takes me back. I just can't do big arenas, notwithstanding the cost, I just get nothing out of it, since I saw Bowie's serious moonlight tour at Wembley and Milton Keynes and vowed never to bother with stadium gigs again. I was spoilt with more intimate venues like The Marquee and the 100 club where you were part of the music. Even pubs like the Hope and Anchor and The Nashville in North End road and later on the The Greyhound in Fulham Palace road (think I saw the adverts there) were hosting decent acts (decentish) like Wreckless Eric, Lena Lovich, Nick Lowe and all the Stiff crew at a pittance to get in. Interesting view on Doherty, did Gemma find Pete a pain in the arse, whatever people say about him I find his music Shambles and Libertines the best around but admit I'm not as adventurous as I used to be I'll check your recommendation nevertheless. As a drummer I can't see anyone topping Gary Powell for energy, there were so many excellent drummers around back in the punk era who never got the credit they deserved. I went for an interview/open day at the UEA coincidentally, didn't get the grades to get there though.

I too was at the Rock against racism gig in Victoria park, can't remember too much about it but the Clash are the band I really went to see. I remember Jimmy Pursey joining in, great day out and free. I'm proud to say my boy has taken on a lot of music that I used to listen too, he loves the Jam and The Clash and rejects the commercial tripe offerred out to kids these days. In turn he introduced me to The Libertines, the only band I would bother seeing at the moment so I'm grateful for that. Thinking back to those days is very much like looking back at football. I remember Sunday nights turning up at the Lyceum to see decent artists, £3 on the door if I remember, no booking years in advance, a bit like we used to turn up at The Bridge. John Cooper Clarke seemed to be the warm up for every gig as I remember, either him Subway Sect or Stiff Little fingers. Great days for real music....how lucky we were
  16. Official: David Luiz Joins Arsenal

Agreed, hacks and commentators wait like vultures to feed off a Luiz error and rarely do they pass comment on his good work, their agenda is pre-determined ofcourse. Even in the CL final where he had a fine game and without JT alongside him he got little credit for an outstanding performance, I remember one journo writing about his expectation that his pen in the shootout would be sent in to orbit. The facts betray the reality, he has always played with energy forward momentum something lacking in our last 2 games, needless to say no one will credit him for that. You have to wonder if Luiz was as costly as Cahill in defence this we'd never hear the end of it. You have to ask yourself would you prefer not to have signed Luiz again? Cahill and Bran as a defensive partnership? No thanks
  17. Thibaut Courtois Departs

He doesn't exactly command his box, real let down, every time someone passes it back to him I **** meself. I think the De Gea situation was different, he's been here long enough now , in my view he's deteriorated. Considering his time at Atletico I expected the finished article to join us.

Interesting sports headlines on Talkshite on Saturday...."Manchester Utd go second in the table with a 1-0 win away to Hull" Surely the headline is Chelsea are top of the league following a superlative display beating Burnley 3-0.....brace yourselves for more of the same.
  19. Taking The Pee Out Of Liverpool (For Khobar)

As Chelsea supporter, as a football supporter it truly saddens me to read some of the comments in this thread. So many of you missing the point, trying to register yourselves as the most hardened Chelsea follower by taking the anti scouse line to it extreme may win you some friends on a forum but very cowardly nevertheless. Would you really face the mother of a victim of unlawful killing and put the case that there was an element of blame for your childs death that must be apportioned to the fans that went to a game of football and moreover because they were scousers? Thank God we have moved in to a litigious culture where cover ups and injustice do not thrive. Perhaps there are some of you who preferred to live in those dark days, the days when the likes of Jimmy Saville thrived as a peadophile, or when Paul Canoville were roundly booed by racist Chelsea fans, at the time many of those who did would spout the "I'm not a racist just got caught up in it, it was a different time" defence . Those idiots weren't bigger or better Chelsea fans for it, in the same way that having a pop at Hillsborough victims now won't make you a better Chelsea fan. I know there are many on this site who don't even go to games , they are probably the most prominent contributors here as they feel inadequate as a Chelsea fan and require validation from from who they regard as real supporters. If you are one of them then I can tell you that in the real world and at the real Stamford Bridge you would be in a very tiny minority. Time for some human decency.
  20. Official: Eden Hazard Joins Real Madrid

Sounds like the new Arjen Robben
  21. New Stadium Plans

I would happily have chopped both my legs off to be there
  22. New Stadium Plans

I used to think the same, as I remember those blue one seaters had handlebars not steering wheels, at least we had some kind of disabilty access then, more than you can say for most clubs at the time
  23. Media / Press

Drives me mad, suddenly average journeymen players become expert pundits after reinventing themselves as if we've forgotten how **** they were when they played, Danny Murphy springs to mind, complete knob
  24. Media / Press

Ofcourse I meant 20 years older!
