  1. I got a 'I don't know who you are' and a 'I've done more for the club than you ever will' from Mr. Bell and his mate when I commented about that on Facebook. Classy stuff.
  2. Much closer to my view of things, except that I would expect some middle ground to be met at some point, rather than the club agreeing to everything the collective CPO wants.
  3. I have to agree, which is why I've largely stayed out of this debate. Much of what is being discussed, and many of the questions being asked, have been done here many, many times. That some of the questions need be asked again, particularly in light of some of the squealing in here, is particularly annoying. The one thing that did dismay me somewhat was the outrage at Buck's share purchase. Lots of people got excited about it without first checking it he was already an owner of shares. Which he was, from several years ago. That said, I'm very pleased to see a couple of familiar faces back here adding some much needed balance. Shame I can't see them at the ground these days. From my point of view, as neither a shareholder or, these days, a season ticket holder or even someone who's visited the Bridge much over the last two seasons, but as someone who's taken a very keen interest for some years now on the subject of the club moving grounds, is that the only vote is a NO. Simply because, like anything, there is a clear case here of people - the shareholders - being pushed a little harder than should have been necessary at this stage. To me, it's really simple: this was an opening gambit from the club, therefore the default vote is a clear NO. Everything else being discussed has it's place, but mostly it's not in here. The matter itself should without doubt be subject to negotiation once the first round of voting is out of the way.
  4. Since there are only three options available at the moment, all of which have been done to death on here many, many times, and one of which is almost certainly a non-starter, that rather renders your poll a little pointless. Postcodes are meaningless, than can easily be proved by the location of Chelsea, and indeed Tottenham. Had you started a poll that listed possible sites, it might have been worthwhile.
  5. Non Chelsea: Champions League

It's probably worth being a little circumspect regarding Mancini's comments; this is the way he operates. Top to bottom, he's a snide git. Tevez has at least been open about his desires, even if he does change his mind so often. Another vote for not washing your filthy kecks in public.
  6. Not relevant at all, I'm afraid. Everyone should be thankful he didn't connect. He had two feet off the ground six feet from the player.
  7. Salomon Kalou

We'll certainly be offloading a striker in January, that much is clear. However, if we're to finish bolstering the squad, then we need to get some money in. It'll be the least useless who stays and the one who brings in the most money who'll go. Might be interesting come January.
  8. Hmm. Let's play the 'what if' game, then. First half: Anelka starts out right, Sturridge plays through the middle, picks up passes from Mata and Anelka. Boom. Two-nil by half-time. Second half: Torres comes on fresh against a Leverkusen side who've tried to stretch the play, failed and are starting to tire. Anelka off, Sturridge out right playing through the channels, much more service coming in from the left this half, Torres gets two fed by Mata and Malouda, Chelsea win four-nil.
  9. Missed a couple of chances that should be bread and butter. People's expectations are getting lower by the game. He'll get MoTM for lacing his boots properly before long.
  10. Bit of a silly analogy, don't you think? Torres hasn't performed for Chelsea, where as Rooney has for Utd and Drogba has for Chelsea.
  11. You're taking it too far. He's looking about as bright as Joe Cole at the moment. Ill-advised comments he should have kept inside the club. Whatever happened to Tour Rules, FFS? Why do you think so few Chelsea players have Twitter accounts? Because they've learned that stuff is endlessly taken out of context.
  12. So you're saying he was either sold a dummy, or he's never watched Chelsea?
  13. And why do you think that is, exactly?
  14. Official: Romelu Lukaku Joins Everton

Yep, guilty as charged on this occasion. I bet I'm not the last, though. ;)
  15. Official: Romelu Lukaku Joins Everton

I'd be very surprised if we loan out any of the established forwards and if we don't sell any of them, a loan spell for Lukaku until we do offload some makes perfect sense until the next transfer window. Better to see his development in the Premier League for a few weeks - for that is all it is - than playing a bit part from the bench. Realistically, he's not going to be a starter all the while we have the forwards we do.
  16. Hold that thought, fold it several times, take it to the bathroom, flush it down the toilet.
  17. Which is the one of the reasons Kalou is getting so much game in lieu of Sturrdge's imminent return. Lots of talk about wingers, but I've not seen anything to suggest that AVB uses wingers at all yet.
  18. I think it's kind of amusing that it's being posted in a forum where there's been little talk of a decent backup keeper for Cech when it's been blatantly obvious we've needed one for two seasons now. Still, we might get a couple of midfielders for £40million soon, so we'll be fine. :)
  19. That's because most of the comments are, largely, wishful thinking and made up twaddle. He said: “I think we might add in those positions – we might, “The sense of urgency in midfield is there. “We play 4-3-3, we have a squad of 25. For you to prepare for a game, you need at least six midfielders. We only have four. “But we have the versatility of (Florent) Malouda, for example, and Yossi (Benayoun), who we have been using in the 10 and the eight position to a very, very good extent and a very good level.” Despite the first sentence, there was no mention of specific positions, it was in response to comments about bids being rejected for Modric.
  20. If it were that easy, then everybody would be a football manager, wouldn't they? What? Oh.
  21. Non Chelsea: Premier League

Which is exactly why UEFA want to investigate City, and not Chelsea or any other team in the Premier League at the moment.
  22. Non Chelsea: Premier League

Every place in the Premier League is worth (from last season) £765,000. TV payments on are on top. Any team in the Premier League can expect £40-60Million. It'll be over that this season.
  23. Non Chelsea: Premier League

This topic should be renamed to Non-Chelsea: The Grass is Always Greener.
  24. Media / Press

Bless. You're confusing yourself with all that ranting. Like and respect aren't the same thing.

Giggs did confess the affair, to the only person who matters, his wife. The injunction was a promise to her to keep a lid on it. Neither he not Imogen Thomas wanted the affair made public. That's why all the people anonymously outing him on Twitter are a bunch of hypocritical spastics.
