  1. Talk of Steve Holland in as caretaker. I'd be fully supportive of this, would hopefully mean we see more of RLC and Hudson-Odoi. Biggest thing to fix is the structure, though. Its broken.

    Oh dear.
  3. Transfer Talk Topic

I'd go further. He is the best signing we've ever made.
  4. I'm not convinced. Zidane would also be mental to join us.
  5. This is probably reactionary on my part but Mourinho and Terry in please.

I was going to say that - Vincinius and Asensio very good on the left. I'd suggest someone like Mbappe or even Sterling would be a perfect fit for them to fill in on the right. I know Hazard played on the right for Lille sometimes, can't remember if he's done that much at Chelsea.

For me CHO would now be marginally ahead of Willian and Pedro in the pecking order. He's worked hard, he's delivered in games. The transfer request was in my view poorly advised, but we have to now prove that by starting him in the league.

I think CHO is demonstrating a little bit of immaturity here. If it's game time he wants, he should look to mid table sides in England or abroad. Just because Sancho has done well at Dortmund doesn't mean he walks into the side at Bayern. I actually think he stands a better chance with us if anything, but can see why he wants to move on.

As above, really like the look of Paredes. Would be my choice to replace Fabregas if it is indeed between him and Barella. One positive of Paredes is that he is a compatriot of Icardi and Higuain, both targets mentioned over the next couple of windows.

No use, impossible to lip read a Scouser.

I mean.. the entire concept of cultural Marxism was literally invented by Nazi's.. That doesn't mean you are a bigot or such like, but you're the one throwing around this conspiratorial terminology that essentially implied there's a sinister agenda at play behind societies acceptance of minorities. Words have consequences, you can have your freedom of speech, but that doesn't mean freedom of speech without consequence. The folk that disagree with you have every right to call you out.
  12. Media / Press

Where did I call you specifically a bigot? I said the term 'cultural Marxism' is usually used by bigots without a first clue of what they're talking about, usually parroting some Libertarian or alt-right personality.
  13. Media / Press

We stop using it, we educate our fellow supporters on the root of the term 'spurs' when it's used. Chelsea Supporters Trust, CPO etc. lots of supporters groups can help too. Simultaneously the club could be pretty draconian with season ticket suspensions, bans etc. for people that insist on using it.

Great, we've done a good job. We still have a problem, though so let's crack on. Comparing ourselves to other clubs or having exaggerated or biased media coverage is an irrelevance - we have a problem (as evidenced in the chunks of the post you removed) we have to deal with, let's stop making excuses and continue dealing with it.
  15. Media / Press

I think it's just a term that bigots use in place of 'being respectful to people'. Also without wanting to fall into a political warren, 99% of folk that use the term 'marxism', don't know what Marxism is.

How are about going after all the clubs using that reference, particularly given Spurs for all their flaws started using that name as a badge of honour as so many clubs were chanting the y word at them - we can focus on our own club. I'd also argue it's not just the 'bring on Tottenham or the Arsenal song' (which I loathe because it's one of a million songs where we're singing about other teams), it's 'he was only a poor little y***o', it's 'spurs are on their way to Auschwitz'. The same people that sing 'you killed your own fans', 'murderers', the same people that chanted their way through the Hillsborough moment of silence back in 2012 and hiss at Tottenham away. There is an absolutely horrible minority lurking in our fan base and us saying 'yeah, but look at what X do' isn't going to solve it. I'm tired of being joined by the worst type of scum in the MHL. Let's have passion, let's direct it towards supporting the team and yes, we'll take the piss out of the opposition, but we don't need to be using racial slurs, singing about genocides and signing about recent tragedies.

This idea that if Spurs stop using the Y word, so will Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham etc.. I'm sorry, I'm very cynical. It's fairly ingrained in our active support base that the y word is a term of reference for Tottenham. Indeed Spurs fans would argue they only adopted it because they were tired of opposition fans chanting it at them - they say it wasn't Spurs that used it first. The only way to combat that is for individual clubs to educate fans ignorant to the terminology they're using (the idea of Chelsea sending folk to Auschwitz for instance is a great idea, though I'd suggest they only need to send fans to the Holocaust exhibition at the national war museum.. but I digress). Simultaneously, there needs to be life bans for folk that persevere with the abuse. We cannot afford to wait for other clubs to do our job for us.
  18. Media / Press

Whataboutery doesn't help. Spurs' use of that word is unacceptable, so is ours. As Chelsea supporters we should root out the problem and eliminate it. What other clubs do is on them. If we just ignore the problem because other clubs do it, then we're part of the problem.

I think on the most part it's been reduced to small groups in the MHL and on away trips, but nevertheless, it's an issue that we need to take a stand against. I remember going to the SoBar ten years ago or so and I'd hear four or five racist chants every half hour. It was literally like going to a National Front meeting. RE the chants last night, I think a lot hinges upon what the chants actually were. We have chants that make reference to Tottenham using anti-semitic terms which are ignorant as opposed to overtly racist (I.e. folk aren't intending to use the y-word as a slur against Jews, but think it is an acceptable reference to Tottenham), and then we have chants that are intentionally anti-semitic that don't normally get an airing (the one that matches the tune to 'Spurs are on their way to Wembley', the one about a poor man in a bar). Either way, absolutely all of it needs eradicating, but I do think context is important.

No reason to bring race or religion into a football match ever. No reason to make threats or be seriously abusive either. There's a pretty clear line between passion and bigotry, and if you think football is an excuse to do the latter, kindly **** off with all the other Neanderthals to the next EDL march. I don't care what has or has to happened tonight or at the weekend - I've seen racism first hand at Chelsea on multiple occasions, we all know it happens so I 100% believe the reports and I'm 100% sick of it - we're not alone, I know, but if we actually care we should start by taking a stand against the minority of scumbags in our own supporter base.

Piatek. Thoughts? Better option than Morata/Giroud or a flash in a pan?

Icardi would be a superb signing to be fair. Assuming we held onto everyone (and that would be a huge 'if'), I wouldn't mind if he was our only signing next summer.
  23. Transfer Talk Topic

Anyone think it may be worth trying Hudson-Odoi through the middle?
  24. Transfer Talk Topic

With Hazard 28 in January and in astonishing form and nearing to the end of his contract, will it be time to try and cash in? Reinvest in a super ambitious move for someone a bit younger like Mbappe or Dybala?
