  1. Liverpool 2 Chelsea FC 2 (Liverpool wins 5-4 Pens)

On the bright side, Jorginho has been brilliant. All throughout preseason and today.
  2. Transfer Talk Topic

Jason Burt on twitter claims CFC have told him the transfer is for £48m. Fantastic deal if that figure is true.
  3. Official: Juan Mata Leaves For Man United

I long for the Malouda from the Hiddink days, second half of 08 09 season, he was unplayable.
  4. Non Chelsea: Premier League

79 points with a squad that before January only had 13 senior outfield players is a poor performance? Completely disagree. No matter how good they are, 79 points would be a great achievement for a squad starved of depth by the men in charge of keeping us at the top.
  5. Didier Drogba

The club shouldn't even think of letting either Drogba or Anelka go in the summer. Seriously , and I keep repeating, how on earth can the fans call for a clear out in the summer when we had a similar one this past summer and now look at the result. Drogba must stay, and Anelka should be kept till his contract runs out end of next season. One of the reasons Torres joined us in the first place was that he knew we had quality players to fill in for when he's not fit/firing and share the load. If we let our best striker go this summer and put all our eggs in the Torres basket, honestly, it would be criminal stupidity. People talking about Neymar and Lukaku coming in to replace Drogba? Get real ffs. I repeat, we need numbers and strength in depth. Only expendables for me are Paulo Ferreira and Hilario, everyone else stays.

Same here. Seriously. What the hell does Torres owe liverpool? Nothing at all. Its complete and utter bull***t. I think what grates everyone the most is the fact that we could be the first club where Torres wins trophies. He will be remembered as FT of CHELSEA, and his 3 season stint at Liverpool will be looked back on as just a stepping stone to a successful career (heres hoping).
  7. Official: Torres Makes Milan Move Permanent

Truly, truly immense signing. Welcome Fernando Torres to CFC and I wish you a long and prosperous career with us. It's staggering to think a player of his caliber has only a second division spanish title to his name (at club level). I can imagine how hungry he will be to win trophies with us. For the first time since 05-06 we now have a real quality option who can take the goalscoring burden off of Drogba (and Lampard). The trio of Drogba, Torres , Anelka is just as good as (if not better)than Drogba, Gudjohnsen , Crespo. And thank you Roman and Gourlay for sorting this out in time.
  8. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

If that report from Abola is to be believed, does that mean we could see an ending to the Luiz deal today sometime? How is it even possible that we are negotiating with Benefica when Gourlay Buck and Bernard are all up at Liverpool atm?
  9. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

I should clarify, I didn't mean Luiz specifically, I meant strengthenning the squad in general (new back up goallie, midfielder, attacker). I actually think our defence is fine, but we desperately need depth for other areas. Carlo said we're playing the first team again tomorrow against Everton. Assuming Zhirkov and Frank are out of tomorrows game, we will struggle to even fill up the subsitutes bench! That's insane and utterly criminal handling of the squad, by whoever is in charge of assembling it. I would have been over the moon if we brought in the the likes of Begovic, Krancjar , Keane this transfer window, just so that we could give our first 11 players some time to breath!
  10. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

Would you find it agreeable to sack Gourlay if due to us not strengthenning the squad this transfer window, we drop out of the CL and possibly the top 4? Or would only CA be to blame for that (assuming it happens)? Just a hypothetical question, I'm not trying to be confrontational...
  11. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

I agree to some extent, but the fact that yet again we are unable to close a deal worries me. Now I know some people are going to jump and say well Gourlay only works with what Roman gives him ( you know who you are) but these same people would never make the same excuse for Carlo. Gourlay/the board are free from any criticism but Ancelotti? No he's to blame for everything thats gone wrong this season!
  12. Josh Mc Eachran

Look, I'm going to say something which everyone else in this thread is thinking. STOP BEING SUCH A F*****G DRAMA QUEEN. Bottom line is, McEachran will play in a role which will help him and the team to win trophies (hopefully). The youth coaches and management know infinitely more about bringing through a young footballer than you will ever know. So just relax and stop fantasising about turning McEachran into Iniesta.
  13. Media / Press

An excellent piece. He hits the nail firmly on the head with this. "Stuck working with the finest footballers in the world, playing football from the gods at a club he has adored since boyhood, with the full support of the board and minimal interference. Along comes Roman Abramovich and gives him the opportunity to manage an ageing group of players with increasingly limited resources, while having his staff picked off by an owner who wishes to lecture post-match on football matters. Hey, Pep, what's not to like?"
  14. Frank Arnesen

I really f*****g hope "Pep" doesn't come anywhere near our club. If people think Carlo is tactically naive then I can imagine the multiple seizures some people here will be suffering if we get "Pep" in as a replacement. I want Ancelotti to stay for at least the next 3 seasons to oversee the rejuvination of the squad ( and I hope he stays even longer) but if the snakes that make up our board room decide to part ways, then my personal choice would be the Porto manager.
  15. Non Chelsea: Premier League

2-2 FT. Now lets hope we beat Sunderland.
