  1. Salomon Kalou

Kalou signs new Chelsea contract Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou has signed a new three-year contract with the Stamford Bridge club. The 23-year-old Ivory Coast star, an £8m signing from Feyenoord in 2006, was set to become a free agent next summer. Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti told his club's website: "Salomon is an important player for this club." Chelsea are currently appealing against a transfer ban imposed by Fifa which prevents them registering new players until January 2011. The punishment was meted out after the club was found guilty of inducing Gael Kakuta to breach his contract with Lens in 2007. Kalou follows Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole and John Terry in pledging his future to the Premier League outfit. He has often been used as a substitute since his move to west London, with five of his 10 appearances this season coming off the bench. In total he has made 93 starts and 66 substitute appearances for Chelsea, scoring 31 goals. Ancelotti added: "Salomon is always well motivated and works hard at his game. Because of this, I'm sure he will become an even more important player for us in the future." Kalou is likely to play at next summer's World Cup finals after the Ivory Coast sealed their qualification with a 1-1 draw against Malawi on Saturday. Source - BBC Sport In my honest opinion, we should save him for the future.
  2. Quick Jokes

    That made me giggle.
  3. Non Chelsea: Premier League

Manchester United 2 - 2 Sunderland. Main talking point was the late goal, or should I say own goal from Anton Ferdinand. Once again, another team loses concentration in the last minutes against United. At least they scored before the stoppage time was up.
  4. Non Chelsea: Champions League

Liverpool played a first team squad against Fiorentina yesterday. They are going into the match against us with no momentum and maybe a jetlagged team. But Italy ain't that far away from England. I still expect them to be coming into the match with hopes of taking away the three points.
  5. Salomon Kalou

Kalou is a young player, he just needs to be taught more skills like composure for one. Looking at his Chelsea career he has not been bad for a player of his age. Just look at his profile: http://www.chelseafc.com/page/PlayerProfil...8~31329,00.html He can be an excellent winger for us in the future, but putting the blame on him whenever Chelsea go wrong is not gonna help is it? Salomon may not read CFCnet, but I'm sure most of us (hopefully) go to Chelsea matches and probably scream at him.
  6. Following Chelsea's Loans

Di-Santo contributes to Blackburn's winner as he wins a penalty late in the game.
  7. Ashley Cole

I am impressed with Ashley Cole's recent form. He's always been a great left back, but since the season started, he's not turned into my favourite left back, but my choice for best left back in the world at the moment. He's been great on the pitch and off the pitch and is surprisingly ranked join 5th top scorers in the Premiership so far. But can he keep this form up for the rest of the long season coming? What do you guys think of his recent form?
  8. John Terry

Maybe he should do a Zola and manage a lower division side first. It's worked wonders for Roy Keane and Gio Zola. there's no reason to rush for the Chelsea job aswell. He coul;d take it when he is 50. About twenty two years from now and I don't think any Chelsea fan will have forgotten him by then.
  9. Didier Drogba

44 votes to keep him, 0 votes to sell him. I think you got your answer :D
  10. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Well this is the first opportunity to see how many player Carlo rests for a less important game. We don't know whether he wants many youth players to get a game. Eager to see the line-up for QPR.
  11. Following Chelsea's Loans

Still yet to see Mancienne's "horror mistake", but he's still young. That's why we sent him out on loan. So that he can make mistake and learn from it without it damaging his confidence or Chelsea. Don't get on his back, he's 20 years old playing in the best league in the world. Anyway, off Mancienne for now. Does anyone know when Di-Santo will come back from his hamstring problem? Quite eager to see him play.
  12. Following Chelsea's Loans

Been watching Stoch closely for quite a while now. I've noticed he is a very good crosser. I hope we keep him for the future.
  13. Following Chelsea's Loans

It was nice to see a start for Mancienne and a subsitute appearance for Sinclair. Hoping to see Di-Santo make an appearance next week. It was a quiet week for the three with little to talk about. Lets hope as the season goes along that they can show us they are Chelsea material.
