  1. Lucas Piazon

Breaking news in Brazil this evening suggests that long-term youth target Lucas Piazon has agreed to join Chelsea from Sao Paulo when he turns 18, for a reported fee of €10m. The website "Lance!net" have reported that the teenager, currently playing for Brazil in the South American Under-17 Championships, will join the Blues ahead of competition such as Juventus, who were believed to have agreed a deal to sign him earlier this year. The news has since been confirmed by Sao Paulo themselves (the link quotes club officials) Instead, Lance! now say that Piazon will travel to England at the end of the tournament and undergo medical tests before signing a contract. Touted as 'the new Kaka', Piazon was initially linked with a move to West London two years ago as a fifteen year-old, and has since gone on to impress in Sao Paulo's youth teams. http://thechels.net/...r-chelsea-move/ Courtesy of Juni.
  2. http://www.chelseafc...2412311,00.html An agreement has been reached with Anderlecht for the transfer to Chelsea of striker Romelu Lukaku. The move is now subject to the player passing a medical and agreeing personal terms. Speaking after the win against Rangers, Andre Villas-Boas said: 'He [Lukaku] is a very interesting young prospect and we have to be able to position ourselves to be able to get this kind of talent.' The son of a former Belgian professional, Roger, 18-year-old Lukaku was born in Antwerp in May 1993, and joined the Lierse academy as a 10-year-old, scoring more than a goal a game in their youth team before being signed by Anderlecht at 13. He signed a professional contract with the Constant Vanden Stock side on his 16th birthday, and wasted no time in making an impression on the first team, making his debut shortly afterwards and contributing 15 league goals in the title-winning 2009/10 season while still only 16. Standing 6ft 4ins, Lukaku is a powerful presence with a dangerous left foot, and helped himself to 16 league goals last term, while also scoring his first international goals for Belgium. He has 10 senior caps.
  3. Transfer Talk Topic

I liked the press conference. A bit more old school Jose.
  4. Transfer Talk Topic

It's not Jose, it's the guys at Chelsea TV doing an impression of him! It's all just messing about, Regarding what he says about not taking questions on Rooney, it's the same guy doing an impression of I'm guessing the CFC press officer. I'm assuming they didn't realise the mic was on as they were setting up before the press conference. Suprising they didn't check before they uploaded it.
  5. Andre Schurrle

I was actually being serious. I wasn't sure whether it hadn't been announced officially because the club might have had to wait until July the 1st.
  6. Andre Schurrle

    Transfer window isn't open yet?
  7. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

Class! He's been utter class in the later stage of the season as well.
  8. Non Chelsea: International Football

Brazil vs Russia on ITV4. Great game so far
  9. Official: Torres Makes Milan Move Permanent

I can't wait for a new striker to come in and him to leave.
  10. Frank Lampard Breaks Chelsea's All Time Scoring Record (#210)

Give Frank whatever he wants, I'm tired of this, end the circus.
  11. I had actually heard of Buck before Roman. I think it's proven as well he came to games in the early 90's. Can't stand him either, arrogant idiot. How many more underhand things that leave a bad taste in your mouth things are going to happen at our club? I hope the CPO nail them. As someone said in the MDF, Love Chelsea FC, not Chelsea PLC.
  12. Official: Eden Hazard Joins Real Madrid

I'm suprised by the reaction today, not because I don't think it's correct but because I don't have much faith in the general publics reaction to high profile situations like this. I didn't read the papers or watch/listen to the sports media, I'm sure they over-exaggerated it and sensationalised it, but everyone I spoke to didn't think it was a big deal or basically thought as I do that, Eden should have used his brain a bit more, but that a lot of people would have done the same thing. The general consensus was not that Hazard's a nasty bloke or that he deserved a lengthy ban or anything. I think we might be lucky for the reputation of him and the club that it was Hazard and not some else and I think this will blow over quickly.

    Total rubbish Torstein.
  15. Official: Torres Makes Milan Move Permanent

    Jesus christ.
  16. Official: Torres Makes Milan Move Permanent

Haha, that should read he would have someone play 50 balls into him under pressure from different angles, every training session to improve his hold/link up play. 50 balls is 48 too many.

Kalou was rubbish, just hung around the box or the right wing. It's no surprise he scored some in a team as good as . Anyway I saw a fantastic analysis of Torres by Gary Neville and what other players can do to help him. Clearly highlighted his loss of pace compared with 5 years ago. Showed his lack of movement and movement in to what he called bizarre areas, which take him out the game. There were a couple of clips which showed Mata looking at him frustrated due to his lack movement. He also highlighted his poor hold up play and his poor first touch breaking down counter attacks. What was clear as well was there were times when he did make decent runs but these were ignored by our players. He did make a good point that as good as some of the new lads are at passing other than Ramires none of them run beyond the striker. He also highlighted what Torres can still do and what he did for the goal he assisted vs WHU, which was no different to the goals he used to score. Made the right run in behind. Just made the point the balls through to him have to be played from less than 30 yards instead of 30 yards + because he can't run as fast. He said if he was manager he'd have 50 balls a training session to make sure he lays the ball of properly and improves his hold up play. If his name wasn't Gary Neville I'd have him next as our manager.
  18. Official: Chelsea Sack Di Matteo

They'll all be being briefed right now to repeat the tired ' All da boyz really liked Robbie, but it's time to move on now..'.

My heart just sank. What a shameful way to treat a legend on and off the pitch. Win the CL and cup double and get sacked 3 months into rebuilding a new team with kids. Talented kids but kids none the less. What if we go through in 2 weeks? What has he done that's so bad? Loss a few games? Jesus Christ. He was also manager in a few games we won. The 2012 Co and Fa Cup finals. He dealt with Terry's situation like a gent and a company man, as he's dealt with media the whole time. NO BENITEZ .I don't care if he might be a good manager for us, I don't like him and we can't allow our traditions and principals to be erroded for the chance of success. Embarrassing.

Nothing more true will be said in this thread today.

Yeah, we're not playing to his strengths ZzZ... It's just boring now. He's been given every opportunity to succeed here, had the full backing of the for two years when he was far from good enough, was made number one striker, had players bought for him to play for his strengths. What we've had over these two years is a player who never adapted physically and wasn't strong enough mentally, to play in a slightly different way after injuries robbed him of his pace. We've had long spells where he's attitude has been really poor and times when he's given 100% for games on end, but just not had the quality of a top class CF, to make him worthy of playing for us. I've believed all of these myths about playing to his strengths and him not getting service. Although it was clear he was never going to succeed at all with the style of play we played for his first . But he's only been slightly better. Nice bloke or not, which I must stress is off the pitch, his childish scowling and hounding of the ref has annoyed me this season , the fact is, he's just not good enough.
