  1. Chelsea 1 Villarreal 1 (6 - 5 on penalties)

Get in there Chels !! I’m well pleased we won that, we’ve lost too many Super Cups. Boring game but the positives were Chabolah who looked great, Mount looking sharp, a decent set of penalties from us, a memorable night for Kepa and of course winning the trophy. Come on the Chels...
  2. Chelsea 1 Villarreal 1 (6 - 5 on penalties)

Maybe Mendy should have refused to come off like Kepa did a few years back 😁
  3. Chelsea 1 Villarreal 1 (6 - 5 on penalties)

Ah good to know, I’ll look at that now...
  4. Chelsea 1 Villarreal 1 (6 - 5 on penalties)

Ha ha yeah true. I’d like to watch it but can’t justify signing up to BT for it or the handful of Chels games they’ll show. I might have to get my arse out the house to a pub.
  5. Chelsea 1 Villarreal 1 (6 - 5 on penalties)

Does anyone know if BT Sport will show this for free on their YouTube channel like they did with the CL final?
  6. How is this for a statistic... Goals conceded in Chelsea’s 20/21 champions league campaign = 4 Goals conceded in 20/21 premier league home game versus WBA = 5 You gotta laugh 😂😂
  7. Strange to think that Tuchel meant nothing to us 6 months ago, yet he will now forever be part of Chelsea folklore and a big part of our history.
  8. Thank you all for YouTube info. I had no idea, nice one!!
  9. YouTube stream, is it free to watch on YouTube?
  10. Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 1

Oh yeah we’ve been incredibly lucky, Leicester losing 3 of their last 4 league games and drawing the one before that. Same as last year, we have qualified as other teams have made more of a mess of it than we have. However, considering where we were at the start of the year it’s an amazing achievement to have made the top 4.
  11. Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 1

Sounds about right, no logic in that but that won’t stop them. Leicester lose but somehow it’s unfair for us to qualify having lost even though we were above them on points lol
  12. Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 1

Presumably because Leicester missed out? I don’t have Sly Sports so what are they saying? If it is Leicester missing out are we taking the blame? Why not the dippers, after all it is them that have come in late to take a spot, and with a lot of help from VAR last weekend.
  13. Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 1

Football is so fickle, if by some miracle we win next week this team will have achieved great things and Tuchel is a mastermind lol
  14. Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 1

Difficult to feel happy about top 4 after that pathetic performance. We got there somehow but certainly not down to our performance today. Still this will be long forgotten next season.
  15. Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 1

Hold on wait... VAR want to look at it and draw some lines on the screen, can we disallow this lol
  16. Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 1

The failure to get top four has nothing to do with today’s performance. Half way through the season we found ourselves in 10th. However since Tuchel has come in we have lost to gooners and WBA at home, drawn with Leeds, Brighton, Southampton and Wolves. These are the games that have cost us in the second half of the season, not today. We really should have been comfortably sat in third today.
  17. Premier League Run In - 2020/21

Funny you say that as I’ve been feeling that way for a few years now and reading responses here it seems I’m not the only one. I sometimes feel myself hating the modern game, especially the control that the tv companies have, most probably because their influence is usually at our expense. The bias is so blatant now that I can’t watch games with the sound on. In fact I cancelled my sly sports and bt subscriptions 4 or 5 years ago as refused to pay for it. I now watch on my iPad with a friends login to an app. VAR has taken this to another level, it was bad enough getting screwed by a ref a few times a season but now it feels like it happens all the time. What has kept me going is that I love going to the Bridge and the day out of pre and post match beers with mates etc. That of course has stopped in the last year, so it has made me think about what I get out of it. Add to that the ridiculous money in the game and the greed of clubs, agents and players, the corrupt organisations fa, uefa and fifa, there really isn’t too much to like about the game. I sometimes wonder if I would be happier following a lower level club, cheaper and easier to get tickets, no VAR screwing you all the time, not getting constantly bashed by a biased media. The reality is I will probably go back to games as soon as I can get tickets, but I can’t ever see me watching it regularly on tv ever again, I absolutely hate the televised product.
  18. Chelsea 0 Leicester City 1

Totally agree with this, there is absolutely no advantage gained by selecting Kepa in a cup final or an important league game. We know games like these can be decided on small margins so why make any decision which might weaken your team? Leicester would have been pleased when they saw the team sheet, it would have given them a lift and a little more belief that they could get a result. The decision to play Kepa does nothing to improve us but does psychologically lift the opposition and who knows undermine the confidence of our players. I was annoyed when I saw that Tuchel had picked Kepa against the gooners, but when I realised he had been picked for the final I couldn’t believe it and immediately thought I hope this doesn’t cost us. The people saying that the problem was we couldn’t score ourselves, yes absolutely agree, but at 0-0 you haven’t lost the game and cup. Cup finals are a rare privilege to get to, so when you get there you put your best team out and try and win it, simple.
  19. Chelsea 0 Leicester City 1

Having read through the comments, particularly the ones about choice of goalkeeper, you have to pick your strongest side in a final, you simply have to. To pick Kepa over Mendy made us weaker and lessened our chances of winning, why give any advantage away in a final? I have been really impressed with Tuchel up until this week, however him picking a weakened side against the gooners and then Kepa today has really annoyed me, I just don’t get it, both big games which should have had our best possible team playing. As for the VAR decision, can someone please explain to me, when is the offside decision supposed to be made, when the player who is passing first touches the ball to strike the pass, when his foot is midway through the strike or when the ball has left his foot? I realise this can happen in a split second, but it seems that a frame or two either way can mean a player is either offside or onside, so it matters. And I think it mattered today. Having said that as soon as it went to VAR you knew they would be hunting for a reason to disallow it.
  20. Chelsea 2 Real Madrid 0 (3 - 1 on aggregate)

Fantastic result, we played really well in both games and thoroughly deserve to get to the final. The poor finishing in both games made this tie far closer than it should have been. Madrid were terrible over both legs, that team looks finished. We on the other hand look great and hopefully this squad have a great future over the next few seasons!!
  21. Liverpool 0 Chelsea 1

It don’t get any better than beating that lot at their tip. Great result tonight, love it.
