I don't think so. both the buyers and the sellers get a hell of a lot more desperate as deadline day approaches. Like everyone else, I wish we got our business done sooner, but fully expecting a few deadline day deals to go through for us as the likes of Arsenal and Leicester may decide they're better off selling Ox, Drinkwater, etc, rather than keeping want-away players. Add to that the fact that our desperation will lead to coughing up large sums of money, and you can see why these deals happen on the last day. Confident we'll sign at least 2 players before it's all said and done.

anyone a fan of Bolasie? Really enjoy watching him play and would love to see us go for him. Unconvential player, even erratic at times, but a brute of an attacker with impressive pace and just a knack for making things difficult for defenders, which we do not currently have on the right side of our attack. I'm a fan of Willian's but I think he is better for providing cover for Oscar in the number 10 role or starting in a 3-man midfield

Fair enough. Just my two cents; your opinion won't garner much respect when you suggest that a treble winning season in Italy was a decline. Honestly, whom would you suggest is a better manager?
  4. Chelsea 2 Paris Saint-Germain 2 (AET)

who the f*** will we make progress with then? Think Paul Lambert is available atm, maybe he can get us playing attractively. **** performance and result, with Jose undoubtedly the main culprit, but the man is the best out there and I would not swap him for any other manager

For once I am quite glad work and no access to DVR temporarily kept me from watching this one. Watched the highlights but I'm sure they don't even begin to do it justice how disappointing it was to see us play like that against 10. Sounds like PSG were scummy but credit to them I suppose. The kind of win that makes you feel like their name could be on the trophy already. Impressive desire to win at least. Very concerning how ordinary we have been for an extended period now. Completely lost faith in the likes of Oscar and Fabregas is reminding me why Arsenal were so weak and tailed off when the going got tough. Hope we can stumble over the finish line to grab the league title, but hard to see anything better than a stumble
  6. Chelsea 2 Tottenham 0 (Capital Cup Final 2015)

Ramires will of course start in this one, as he should over the likes of Luis, azpi, or ivanovic in midfield. I have a strange feeling Ramires will either score or miss a sitter in this one. Not sure why but just a vision I'm having. Please let it be the former. Time for hazard to really begin forming his legend status as well. Come on!!!!
  7. Chelsea 2 Tottenham 0 (Capital Cup Final 2015)

Courtois/Cech (really struggling to pick between them for this one, but I think Cech just edges it bc of experience) Ivanovic, Zouma, JT, Azpi Oscar, Ramires, Fabregas Willian, Hazard Costa
  8. Chelsea 1 Burnley 1

Spurs get 5 minutes of added time to our 4? After all the nonsense we had with Barnes' crime?
  9. Chelsea 1 Burnley 1

believe it's Arsenal who've had the most penalties so far this season. And they were awarded one for a foul outside the box today and ended up winning by a single goal. Like it or not, penalties have an enormous impact on the outcome of matches. If we get that clear handball, we go up 2-0 and most likely cruise to a comfortable victory. Of course it wasn't vintage stuff but when you're illegally denied in your best scoring opportunities without punishment, it does complicate matters. Having said that, we need to ****ing shoot the ball more often. Hazard in particular. He glides past 3 defenders and opts to pass 9 times out of 10. Really needs to just smash some of them from outside the box.

Have to laugh at those who actually thought the title was wrapped up with a 7 point lead in February. Only takes one result to really shift the outcome, and TBH City are favorites at the moment

one loss coupled with a City win makes things anxious again...and that is in no way out of the realm of possibility. A good place to be nonetheless, but plenty of work to do yet
  12. Andre Schurrle

Agreed with the previous two posts. Having said that, we'll survive without him

Strange that Cuadrado hasn't been announced yet, no? Isn't the window now closed?
