For that amount of money, surely KDB would have to be starting games? Is it going to be Sterling - Silva - De Bruyne playing behind Aguero as their standard line-up? Really he ought to be competition for Silva's position, but Lord knows benching Silva would be a dumb move at this point.

Aye, that was me three pages ago. http://www.capitalonecup.co.uk/competition/rules/#6
-
Then someone had better inform the official Capital One Cup website, http://www.capitalonecup.co.uk/competition/rules/#6. I suspect The Independent are wrong.

My instinct is that we will not bring anyone new in before the end of the window. But then, I'm never the most optimistic sort.

Juventus chief exec Guiseppe Marotta has said that a deal for Cuadrado to go to Juventus should be officially announced tomorrow. It will be a season-long loan but there are currently conflicting stories concerning whether it includes a set option to buy. (Same story as reported earlier, but since it's a Juve guy saying it I guess that's as official as you can get...)

The shirt is okay. If I didn't still have my B&W away shirt from 2008 then maybe I'd be interested. The shorts still look rubbish though...except when the TV cameras are far enough away not to distinguish the fading pattern. I can only presume that their dodgy design is a conscious effort on the part of Adidas to cut down on the number of FKWs walking the streets of London.

No more reliable than anyone else... He heard that we were definitely getting Cavani, for example.
-
It is 0-0 in the end! Good. Can't be doing with these Manchester clubs and their 100% starts...
-
If only Cisse or Thauvin had managed to put that chance away, though...
-
The closer this ManU/Newcastle game creeps towards full-time (typing this on 79 minutes)...the more annoyed I'm going to be when the hosts nab a goal for yet another 1-0. ¬_¬

It's a little bit amusing that the paper who plug for the "agree fee" line actually place said fee at many, many millions lower than the many different (equally random) "bid" figures being thrown about by other papers.

I immediately thought of Fabregas' assist over the top for Costa (2-0 v Arsenal) when I read this post. :p

Jose Mourinho Sacked For The Second Time by Chelsea. Joins Manchester United. And now sacked by them too!

This bears no resemblance to anything I experienced or any person I met during that time. Perhaps I was just...unlucky... -
The Barca bench is going to have some better options than the first elevens of most clubs, in fairness.

Kyle Walker channeling his inner-Spurs with an own-goal...lol.

Well, it's back. I have just about enough time to watch United v Spurs before heading out to the Bridge later...but it doesn't really feel right to start my new season with a "can't both teams lose?" match. :/
-
If Pedro does come in, I doubt very much it would be at the expense of Cuadrado. More like he'd be taking up Salah's spot.

In what I can only assume is extreme optimism, the Megastore is now offering us the opportunity to pre-order the new Home, Away and GK shirts (I don't think I've seen even a rumoured GK one yet)...without actually revealing what any of them are. They just show this: Anyone who shells out £50+ on that deserves to have their power of attorney taken away from them.

I would be glad to get Wembley rather than Twickenham, since I now come into London from that direction anyway (from Milton Keynes). Not that it will necessarily affect me since I'm probably going to have to give up my Season Ticket in 2016 to help pay for an impending child... :(

I think his initial deal was also four years, so he had two years left. -
In fairness, even a Clyne who doesn't know his teammates can't do worse than Glen Johnson.

At least if the new kits are aren't to your liking, the new training shirts are about the most conservative/safe alternative you could possibly imagine.
-
The photoshoots/etc. for the official unveiling of our new kit will have been done with Adidas weeks, if not months, ago. I doubt that it will be in any well conjoined with a new signing, although they may be presented at roughly the same time.

I read the slightly different set of quotes from The Guardian: Now tell me the bolded bit isn't the most petulant thing you've ever known to come out of a grown man's mouth.
-
If it did then I would be in the middle of an existential crisis right about now.
