Couldn't have put it better than the man himself...
  2. Transfer Talk Topic

How do you put someone on ignore? His 9 year old bed-wetting is beyond tiresome
  3. Transfer Talk Topic

Wouldn't that be the case for any team who's (arguably) best three players left?
  4. New Stadium Plans

I may be wrong but I seem to remember a lot of games going on general sale which almost never happened during my time going to the Bridge, especially in the Roman years. These games may have gone on to sell out but I thought there was a noticeable change in usual appetite from STH/members.
  5. Thibaut Courtois Departs

Did what he needed to do well against United (aside from that early Herrera shot he could have done a little better with), also nice to see his passion going to the crowd after one of the goals too. Still not sold on him, but maybe these few results are showing an upturn in confidence.
  6. New Stadium Plans

I read somewhere that a section of Liverpool fans were polled (it may even have been Hillsborough families) and they were overwhelmingly in favour, which was quite refreshing.
  7. New Stadium Plans

Well the Club released a statement on the website to say that they were still on scheduled. Though I believe the schedule was to start work during the close season just gone so who knows.
  8. Willian

We have much bigger things to think about than replacing Willian. Glad he's signed on for another 4 years. He started to work on his attacking output last season, let's hope it continues.
  9. Transfer Talk Topic

I've always found it strange reading stories of Clubs offering their players to another Club. Make it known in circles that they would welcome offers sure, but always get the image of officials knocking on the door of Madrid/whoever and saying 'excuse me sir, do you want to buy our player' randomly out of the blue. That wasn't a challenge to what you posted Bob, just the scenario. RE Pedro, I had really high hopes for him last season, thought he would be one of the signings of the summer. It hasn't gone quite as expected but then again I would imagine he would have performed better if the team in general had. Hope he stays this season and settles in a bit more
  10. Transfer Talk Topic

    Exactly what I thought!
  11. Transfer Talk Topic

Fair enough, maybe I'm giving you too much credit Droy :)
  12. Transfer Talk Topic

I can't help thinking it's a ploy to support the claim of Italian football's irrelevance - Capello-Ancelotti, Conte-Allegri - they're all interchangeable in that Droy doesn't rate them. That's not me supporting or refuting Droy's views on Italian football, just how it's always come across - happens far too often to be a typo.
  13. Frank Lampard: Legend.

Do you feel the same way about Jose almost certainly joining United?
  14. New Stadium Plans

Good points Ham. Either way the old stadium will be demolished at some point. RE the Spurs article, Dan Levene refuted a couple of the claims made in the Spurs article, namely the nuclear waste trains passing under the East stand
  15. Taking The Pee Out Of Liverpool (For Khobar)

I read that the police were not responsible for security within the ground and therefore didn't take action on those fighting inside.
  16. Taking The Pee Out Of Liverpool (For Khobar)

Khobar looking down with a wry smile :)
  17. Taking The Pee Out Of Liverpool (For Khobar)

Is work due to start on their stadium this summer? I remember a load of people smashing in the 'posh' seats in the old West Stand on the final game of the season years ago before it was torn down, I don't particular object in them doing that. I remember the Club came over the PA to ask fans stop doing it, but that's only because they wanted to sell them at £300 a pop the next season. I would have done so too but I was about 12 and wasn't allowed to take my hammer and chisel to go to work on the benches where I was sat...
  18. New Kits

Agree Mike, there's no way we would break the contract this early on unless we were guaranteed to have a whopping deal in the pipeline. We've had some decent kits under Adidas, but also some stinkers too, next year's home kit being a prime example. Someone online suggested something interesting yesterday - bring back the yellow socks!
  19. Media / Press

    That's a good point Stim.
  20. Media / Press

Those two have always come across as clowns but this is pretty outrageous to be honest. Does 'bringing the game into disrepute' charges also apply to owners?

Refreshing comments in the 'top rated' comments section; von.k, southport, United Kingdom, 20 hours ago as a regular kopite in the seveties and early eighties you saw people being crushed every game, the late comers who had been drinking used to ram their way into the kop causing crushing, we were always passing injured people down over our heads to the field, I think the police at hillsborough just did not know what to expect, hindsight is a great thing but the blame must be doled out equally to match officials the f.a.(for erecting the fences) illeagal counterfit tickets, the council and yes the late fans, now its all about the money we all know it Linda, Sheffield, 22 hours ago The police at Hillsborough saved my husband's life, he was seconds away from death when he was pulled over the fences and given life saving treatment. Were there drunken fans and fans with no tickets at Hillsborough that day? yes of course there were, the same as at most big matches, did they cause the crush outside the ground? yes they did. Was police command useless that day? Yes most definitely. Who do I blame for the tragedy? The thugs who for years before purposely went to matches to cause trouble and fight, if it wasn't for them real fans would not have been penned n and would not have been herded around like cattle. The police were ready for trouble and fighting that day and were ill prepared for anything else. Rave On, Sheffield, 22 hours ago I was there, outside the Leppings lane entrance and I know what I saw with my own eyes. A lot of very drunk fans, throwing projectiles and surging to get in the ground. The police in charge were out of their depth and made many mistakes but some of the fans where also to blame for their behaviour. However, The police coverup and lies post the event are simply in excusable!!
  22. Taking The Pee Out Of Liverpool (For Khobar)

Finally UEFA saying something I can get on board with.
  23. New Kits

As Twitter has said - looks like pyjamas.
  24. Taking The Pee Out Of Liverpool (For Khobar)

Sums it up perfectly for me. It's become taboo to even insinuate that Liverpool fans should share even the smallest part of the blame for what happened. If nothing else let's hope this ruling allows the horrible affair to be put to rest.
  25. Taking The Pee Out Of Liverpool (For Khobar)

Well, whether it's true or not, Klopp pretty much said the same thing a few weeks back so that opened the doors for pundits to follow suit...
