  1. Non Chelsea: International Football

I saw the Israel game against Malta last night and Yossi Benayoun was in outstanding form. He had an early goal ruled-out for handball and scored a hat-trick, including one from the penalty spot, against a very lively but out-classed Malta. Yossi came near to getting a fourth in the late stages of the match. EURO 2012 Qualification Competition
  2. Didier Drogba

Chelsea's Didier Drogba is the early leader in my Premier League Combined Goals & Assists Table for season 2010-11. Drogba has three goals and three assists to his credit after Chelsea's first two matches. Chelsea have ten different players who have either scored or assisted (or both) so far this season... 3. Non Chelsea: Champions League

I'm not going to make excuses for Young Boys plastic pitch, but Ledley King was omitted from the squad because of fears of an injury while players like Lennon, Keane and Huddlestone were left out of the starting XI because they were uncomfortable playing on it. Spurs gave the worst opening 30 minutes display I've ever seen from them but once they got used to the playing conditions they came back strongly. How much was down to the pitch, rather than incorrect tactics from Harry is open to debate, but there's no doubt that Spurs were a different team once Tom Huddlestone was introduced as an extra holding midfielder after we went three goals down. The aftermath of the match is that we now have Pavlyuchenko, Defoe and Keane all out injured, leaving just Crouch to play up front at Stoke tomorrow. There were also injuries to Modric and Dos Santos. Full details of all the UEFA Champions League matches during season 2010-11 can be found here: UEFA Champions League 2010-11
