  1. Michael Essien

I know you can hardly trust Aulas with all the to-ing and fro-ing he's done so far, but this is the first time he's ever directly said Essien is going to leave. So I think it's all but decided now. Well, for a brief few moments - it was nice to think Chelsea had actually grown a spine. Too good to be true I guess :( Overrated, overpriced, and with the most boring transfer saga in history preceeding his supposed arrival. He's got a lot of winning over to do, to say the least.
  2. Didier Drogba

Oh god...has it really come to this? The 3am girls?! Jeez...
  3. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

It finished 1-0 to Barcelona, but I've no real grievances about the result - Barcelona were technically superior to us by a long distance, and far in advance of the teams we beat en route to the final. A lot of their players look to have a huge amount of potential, and I shall certainly be looking out for them in the next few years to see how they develop. A lot of positives came out of the tournament for Chelsea though. This was our first ever Milk Cup, and until we faced Barcelona, we looked very comfortable. Our youth team has been a mockery in recent times, but over the past two seasons the improvement has been hugely substancial and that is evident in our performances in this tournament. Like Barca, we too have several players with bright futures ahead of them, and this run in the Milk Cup will do them no harm at all. I'm looking forward to the FA Youth Cup this year more than any, I think we could have a decent run at the very least this time around.
  4. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Chelsea have come out all guns blazing in this second half, we're definately playing much better than the first half.
  5. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Half-time, and Chelsea are losing 1-0. Barca have really dominated, we can't seem to keep possession for more than three or four passes and haven't troubled their keeper at all. Don't know what to say about their goal though...it was either extremely lucky or extremely brilliant. Second half starts in ten minutes...
  6. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

1-0 to Barca - Jose Manuel San Pedro scoring direct from a cross, Jesper Gronkjaer stylee.
  7. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

The game kicks off at 5.30pm, and a stream can be found at the following address... http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/milkcup/ Just click on '5.30pm Premier Group Final: Chelsea v Barcelona', and a console will open up. Then select 'Chelsea v Barcelona 5:30' on the menu on the right. The game is also being shown on BBC2 Northern Ireland (Sky Digital Channel 962), but it starts at 7pm and as such, it is not live coverage. Hope that helps!
  8. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Terrific news about the final, at least for Sky Digital viewers or people in Northern Ireland. The final is being shown live tomorrow on BBC2 Northern Ireland (Sky Digital Channel 962) at 7pm. No more dodgy Internet streams!
  9. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

For all those that have asked, number 11 (the black player with the dreads), is Shaun Cummings.
  10. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

2-2, going to penalties. Porto equalised in stoppage time :(
  11. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Is it just me, or is there no sound on this second half stream?
  12. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

    1-1. Ryan Bertrand.
  13. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

They're wearing the new away kit! Looks pretty good, although it's a naff quality picture. Losing 1-0 at the moment...
  14. Michael Essien

Very good news. We don't need Essien whatsoever, and if we cave in to such ridiculous demands there'll only be more dirt thrown at us. Kudos to Kenyon and co. for their showing here. Aulas is clearly a buffoon for stating we are ruining football though...but then, it's just the typical ignorant, arrogant attitude against Chelsea these days.
  15. New Kits

There will be a new away kit, and the current black and silver away shirt will become the third choice.
  16. New Kits

I think it is very much a fake - the badge looks quite dodgy to me, and there is no hologram of authenticity on the bottom. I also trust CarefreeChris when he says that there will be a blue tint and black lines on the shoulders, as he got the home kit spot on.
  17. New Kits

That's the new training strip, the new away shirt is a silvery-blue colour.
  18. New Kits

Looking fantastic I must say (I assume it's picture and lighting quality making it seem so dark?) Does this mean the mock-up of the away kit will turn out to be correct aswell...that's a woeful design in my opinion :(
  19. Frank Arnesen

Arnesen can't start work until after the transfer window, we'll need at least one striker before then.
  20. Didier Drogba

I cannot wait for Didier to return, even if just to answer a burning question that is engraved on the back of my mind...will the Duff, Robben, Drogba partnership live up to it's potential? Will it click straight away? On paper, you have all you need there...the pace and skill of Duff and Robben, and the strength and power of Drogba. I drool in anticipation of seeing this trio playing together for the first time. Just when Jose will play Drogba again is a mystery...either he'll do a 'Damien Duff' and protect him for several extra weeks before playing him, OR he'll do as he did with Arjen Robben - unleash him weeks before his return date and leave the opposition in complete awe.
  21. Didier Drogba

While it would be a shame if Drogba was injured...will we really notice? Do you honestly think Mateja Kezman, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Adrian Mutu aren't capable of filling the void? I think this justifies Mourinho's 24-man squad, so that when things like this happen, we have someone of equal (there or thereabouts) quality to come in and do a job in the injured players' absense. Yes, it's bad news if indeed Drogba has suffered an injury, but it isn't disastrous. Think ourselves lucky it's not the inspiration captain JT that's been shot down.
  22. John Terry

I thought Gallas was exceptional against Zaragoza, Kal. Gallas and Terry to partner each other without question. No need to give Carvalho a baptism of fire when it isn't needed. Playing the experianced Premiership partnership of Gallas and Terry will stand us in good stead. Besides which, Carvalho hasn't had much of a pre-season, so probably won't be sharp enough yet for a fixture this big.
  23. Gianfranco Zola

It would make sense for the club to be associated with the man himself. Parma or Cagliari perhaps?
  24. New Kits

Maybe I'm alone on this, but I liked it. Stylish yet practical, and although I would prefer more blue on it, I'm liking the combination of black and silver. "The away kit has little or no blue on it and silver has nothing to do with Chelsea that I'm aware of" I think the silver is in celebration of the centenary season, at least this is what I have heard. "Liked last year's blue/black kit much better. Nicest Chelsea shirt in a long time. Why did they ditch it so fast?" It wasn't ditched that fast, it lasted two seasons just like every other kit. One season as the away shirt, one season as the third choice.
  25. New Kits

That kit is clearly a fake Estache...and thank goodness for that, it looks terrible. The home kit is NOT changing this season. Chelsea are soon to release a new away shirt (black, silver, and blue), and the current away shirt (white with the two stripes down the middle) is becoming the third choice. http://www.chelseamegastore.com/stores/che.../home/tlm-a.jpg That is what we have been shown of the new away shirt.
