Linked today with two players from Serie A: Federico Bernardeschi, Fiorentina, attacking midfielder but has also played as wing back. 22 years old, has scored six goals this season. Luis Muriel, Sampdoria, striker. 25 years old, has scored six goals in Serie A too. Release clause of 28m€. Like Bernardeschi, he has a contract until 2019.

Linked with Hakan Calhanoglu in today's turkish media. They say the player wants the move. Excellent free-kick taker, not so sure about his overall game.

Not sure if you talked here about it, but Walter Sabatini is no longer working at Roma and the rumors about him joining Chelsea. Maybe Roma have not achieved a lot in recent years but his work at signing players for low fees was great. He has a great experience and could become a vital member of our board (Conte apparently would love to work with him).

Some people here said about him in August. Sadly, I don't work for Chelsea FC ;)
  5. Official: David Luiz Departs For Arsenal

Nobody see this coming before this tuesday. Credit to the Daily Mail for breaking the story. And welcome back home Geezer. Players like him, with character and charisma, are always welcomed. Hello Geezers!!!

Well, now the market is closed and we can make a verdict about the last months. Chelsea started the summer outstanding: the signing of a great talent like Michy and after that the unbeliavable coup to get the gem Kante made everybody flying in their dreams. The old Chelsea was back... But apart from these amazing news, the club faded in the last weeks of July and the biggest part of August. I can understand that Conte wanted Koulibaly and the club did well trying to back him on his wishes (like with Nainggolan), but they should have learn the lesson from last summer with Everton. De Laurentiis is an extremely difficult mountain to climb and they should have reacted way before than the first offer for Romagnoli (around 25th of August). Then, after failed offers here and there, they went for an old friend in David Luiz (plus an improved Marcos Alonso). The brazilian smelt the Emery parfum and understood the bench was his house for this season. This saved our ass, because if David Luiz was going to be a starter he would have stayed in Paris. Our last hour alternative, Abdennour, was another Mendes fiasco waiting to happen. So, a bit frustating summer but our squad in better than last year. Our key players look back to their better version so more great news. In love with Conte already. The club need to back and support him when the bad periods arrive because we have a phenomenal manager again. COME ON CHELSEA!

A part of me is happy about the return of David Luiz. He can be sometimes a total disaster waiting to happen but he was one of the heroes of Munich. He's a passionate guy and a likeable player to have in any team. Maybe Conte can do magic with him.

Matt Law confirms Abdennour. He's terrible. Or he was last season at least. Booed almost every match in Valencia (worst supporters in Spain). Maybe he can cope with the physical, but trust me, can't pass the ball even to his partner at the back...

For some people who still believe Chelsea are/was looking for a specific type of CB: according to France Football, Chelsea are in talks with Valencia to take Aymen Abdennour on loan. Another Mendes joke, like Falcao. Abdennour can't pass the ball to save his life. Absolutely terrible with the ball at his feet.
  10. Transfer Talk Topic

Marcos Alonso has started to follow Chelsea on Twitter. It's done.

Ok, but there're in the Bundesliga for sure. And a club like Chelsea should know that if I know that. Years ago We signed an unknown kid from a midtable french team and, surprise, he's our best defender now. If you look at teams like Leverkusen, Hoffenheim, Schalke, Wolfsburg... you can find more gold.

    Agree 200%.

So, Marcos Alonso for 27m€. Remy another pointless loan (Palace have money) and no striker in. No midfielder (Brozovic stays). Maybe a CB on loan (!!!), according to Matt Law and Matt Barlow. And some people here continue defending the clowns of our board!! What a joke.

    Spot on.
