  1. Didier Drogba

Poor Drogba, There is 9 pictures of Victoria who doesn't play for Chelsea and yet only 1 picture of Drogba. Pete, I can see where your priorities lies... ;-D

quote:Originally posted by charlie cookeThe idea that drogbar gets the stick simply because most people belive him to be rubbish may well be true, his touch is worse than paul furlong and for a lump he goes over like devon lock."He puts in 100%" says his supporters well thats the bloody least he can do for that sort of money and lifestyle we all pay him for."he's a handfull" .. thats how my wife describes my 9 yr old son at bedtime.Maybe you right it isn't the cheating/diving and play acting maybe its because most of the time he's rubbish and couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo. id="quote"> id="quote">Charlie, Have a look at the stats and see how many goals Drogba has got. Now have a look at how many assists he has made this season. And take note how he give defenders a hard time with his constant presence. This is the very player that scored the most goals in the French League 2 seasons ago. This is the very player that led Ivory Coast to the final of the African Nations against the hosts. Now this is hardly the player that you are describing as per above. And can you please tell me how you know that "most people believe him to be rubbish". Did you do a census poll?
  3. Didier Drogba

I have always stood by Drogba and have on many countless times stated that he is a great all-rounded striker who can hold the ball up, shackle the defenders, assist and of course score goals. Okay he also falls down a little too easy at times and can be a bit embarrassing at times, but surely this is just a little smudge on an very impressive overall profile of himself. The good news is that he can stop "diving" if he wanted too, but you can't change your ability overnight.
  4. Gianfranco Zola

Imagine Zola with Crespo! The fall with Crespo is that he is far too intelligent for his colleagues with his off-the-ball movement. Zola is one player who would have linked well with him. What a shame! Did Zola link with Crespo at Parma?
  5. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

I have no complaints of giving a couple of youngsters a try out in the Premiership IF we have any spare games this season IF we clinch the title. But while we are still vying for the title, we cannot think about the youth players as like Harry says, they are far too raw for the big step up.

quote:Originally posted by Bazzabluequote:Originally posted by grantdesmidt11I agree that we should look to give one or two youngsters their debuts in the run-in, if we can sow up the league nice and early. id="quote"> id="quote">Jeez. How can you say this after the Fulham shambles? We should never have got 3 points the previous week either. If we can be beaten by rubbish like Fulham and Boro, we can lose to anyone. There is a deepseated malaise infecting the whole squad at the moment. I've no idea what the reason is, but I would suggest that there are undercurrents of which we are not aware. Unless Jose sorts it out - and fast, there is a damned good chance of Manc catching us. Never mind sowing up the league early, we'll be lucky to sow it up at all. As for sticking green kids in, they're several years away from Prem atandard. id="quote"> id="quote">Have to agree with you on this one Bazza. WE can easily slip up and lose the title. Our recent performances hasn't been that good and is indeed quite worrysome...
  7. Michael Essien

So I gather that Tiago doesn't like me then. Assuming he has visited this site in the past. I don't think I ever uttered one good word about him...

  9. Didier Drogba

quote:Originally posted by Pete BullIt was a good goal today by Didier. It shows how strong he is, I think he got caught on the knee today but he did make a meal of the spinning in the air. However, what was worse was their player going down in the box in the 90th minute trying to get a penalty when he wasn't even touched. I wonder if that will be reported? Somehow I very much doubt it. id="quote"> id="quote">And strangely enough, I can't find any evidence of this incident in the papers!
  10. Michael Essien

Basole, I hope Real Madrid signs Tiago. It will ensure relegation for them.
  11. Michael Essien

We never seem to be able to field our strongest side against Barca. We always seem to have an injury or a suspension. I would love to see how we would fare against Barca with our strongest XL.
  12. Didier Drogba

Life is full of "what if..." Best thing is to move on. Next topic please!

I probably would have gone all grey in correcting all the grammar and spellings. I just don't have your tolerance and patience. And I need all the tolerance I have being a married man!
  14. Michael Essien

Even Maka has scored a goal and so has Paulo Ferreira. Come on Essien, you can do it. Foot + Net = Goal
  15. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

I have e-mailed this to all my gooners mates. I told them that they need to kidnap many more 16 year olds before they can beat us!

I think you will find many link-ups in the CFCnet Archives. Try using the Search facility.

quote:Originally posted by MARK KELLYSorry all you Drogba haters out there but we miss him ...BIG TIME. Crespo is a fantastic player but like Kezman before him does not suit our system as much as the Drog. id="quote"> id="quote">It's nice to hear good reviews on Drogba, but why do I get the feeling that he be bashed once again in say April...
