Great article. Let's hope we finally get 10 John Terrys, 5 Frank Lampards, 3 Claude Makeleles and another Zola by the end of 2010!!
-
I didn't realise they change the cover for different nationalities, but I suppose that make great marketing sense!
-
He spotted Ronaldo! (the pie eater)

I look forward to seeing the next Pele and Maradona...

I am hoping that Sinclair will turn out good. In the past we had many who scored goals for fun but ended up average players when they turned of age.
-
Very pleased to hear about that. Now he will be available for the man Utd game (if he doesn't pick up an injury - touch wood).
-
The only thing that annoys me is that if ME gets 3 match ban, he will miss the Man Utd crunch game!
Of course it is ME fault and he has only himself to blame.
On the October Chelsea FC magazine, in his interview, he said he was very cool. Well that certainly not true on the pitch! Have we got the next Patrick Vieira?

Essien is a good player, no doubt about that. But, if he ends up serving regular, long suspensions, he'll be of little use to us.

Essien hasn't got away with it. He will face a 3-match ban.

I have always said that peopel judged him too quickly last season. He was only 70% fit last year and HAD ONLY 10 days holiday between the last game he played for Marseilles and starting pre-season with Chelsea.
John Terry has specifically mentioned this in his book "My Winning Season". If you have this book you will understand that it was very hard for Drogba to show and proof himself in his first season.
As far as he, JT and I are concerned, his career with Chelsea starts this season. he is now 100% fit, had a longer holiday this year before pre-season and he now understands the Premiership.
His current performances merits the £24m transfer.
I expect Essien to shine NEXT year. Almost the same situation. Essien is not at 100% yet, nor will I think he be this season.
-
I personally think that Drogba has justified himself so far this season. We can't use last season as a basis to judge him as he was not more than 70% fit last season.
Let's get behind him and Crespo.

Exactly... and the fact Gudjohnson and Gallas are there before him is weird. His name will sell more. Even Tiagos is still up there!!!!!

What! Tiago! That's criminal!

TBG, I am the reason Tiago is still up there! Hahaha... I am pulling my strings behind the scenes...
id="quote">
Well I shall sneak in the Megaroom and put a couple of Parker shirts up there too!

Well you can't expect CFC to know about this. And I hope Essien doesn't know about this too...
I think Agents should stop receiving loads of money. They should only be paid £1000 at the most for every transfer deal. Or slightly more if the time taken for the deal to get done is long.

That will be somehow, "different", of course!

Eaxctly. It was all Man Utd and Arsenal in the last 11 years. Why are people complaining about Chelsea?
This is utter nonsense.

John Terry would probably be a good forward as well. The only problem might be his insufficient speed.

Actually, John Terry is a good striker...
He did start out as a midfielder when he was young and had a good eye for goals.

And again I say, Hernan, Basole?
Surely no yellow card for just asking?
id="quote">
I'm sure Basole and Hernan have warmed up to him. He plays very simple football and doesn't try to be clever. He doesn't look a £24m player but he is probably worth that much if you know what I mean.

Where on earth do you find these websites? This one apparently expends most of its energy selling boats! Oh, and the "story" has been "removed".....which could be because it didn't have anything to do with boats, or....

It's a warning shot, that's all! Drogba would never finish his career at the national team voluntarily. He loves his country. That's inconceivable.

Have you had the pleasure of knowing the man personally Kristina?
id="quote">
Yeah, how does Kristina know so much about Drogba?
Spill the beans!

Very hard choice!
I think Frank Zola is my fave player or perhaps Gianfranco Lampard.
