  1. Salomon Kalou

That's beastly. Why were Madrid the only ones in for him? Can't understand why we didn't make a cheeky bid. He's a ready made replacement for Joe Cole. Hell, he's a ready made IMPROVEMENT on Joe Cole!
  2. New Kits

Was just reading an article on the official website and caught another glimpse of the monstrosity that is our 3rd shirt... it's truly awful whoever came up with it should surely lose their job. Danger danger danger!
  3. Injury News

Lampard apparently picked up a knock in the England game... excuse my French but FFS! International friendlies (and with any luck internationals altogether) SHOULD BE SCRAPPED.
  4. New Kits

Truly horrible kit. The first two are fine (though why we're going to orange and all these neon colours lately is beyong me...). Still feel sticking to basic blue, white, and yellow will suffice. Black is nice for a change but the simpler the better in most cases.
  5. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

Carvalho arguably was the best central defender in the world at 27-30.
  6. New Kits

Gok Wan's design wouldn't stretch further than the whole squad getting Samsung tattooed onto their chests and their name and numbers onto their backs. Now THAT'S how to look good naked.
  7. New Kits

Good Lord what is that monstrosity? Yet another blinder by Adidas... literally.
  8. New Kits

Nice find. Guess having green in it wouldn't be too bad though - just not a whole green kit!
  9. New Kits

Chelsea playing in green? Where have these rumours come from? As far as I'm concerned the modern Chelsea has three away kit colours: yellow, white, or more recently black. And as someone else mentioned we need a lighter away strip for when we play teams like Inter. But green? Does it even have a history of being part of a Chelsea outfield kit?
  10. New Kits

Don't mind the away kit at least it's distinctive... that being said I'd much prefer to have some continuity. Decide on black, white, or yellow as away kits and have done with it already.
  11. Salomon Kalou

I think people generally agree along the lines of: good enough to be a squad player but not reliable enough to fill in for Anelka/Malouda when they're out for a mid-long spell with an injury. Players like Kalou are hugely important to the success of a squad. He'd probably happily be first choice in Sunderland or another mid-table team, but if these players are happy to be bench-warmers then I'm not complaining. Rather that than have no depth like Arsenal or Liverpool.
  12. John Terry

Look, I didn't care about Tiger Woods' infidelities. Your personal relationships are your own and your working life is separate. The same goes for Terry in my book. This talk about Chelsea selling him is ludicrous. You wouldn't sack an employee if he had an affair with a friend's ex-girlfriend, so why should Terry be any different? I honestly don't understand why people get so anal about other people's infidelities. His wife has found out and he's lost the English captaincy (which in my opinion is a good thing so he can concentrate on Chelsea... in fact ideally Terry would retire from international football. Might prolong his career.). Give him a break.
  13. John Terry

As mentioned: good mate's EX-girlfriend. That's taboo, but not against the rules. People make 9/11 jokes all the time on primetime television shows such as Mock the Week, and the "trip" isn't something I'm going to condemn him for. I'd probably do the same - and if reports are to be believed he gave the money to charity - I would have pocketed it. Somehow I find it hypocritical to call him a great captain but then maintain he is not a decent bloke. A great captain is someone you respect, and since you don't seem to hold Terry as a person in too great a light then it's a bit rich to label him as a "great captain".
  14. John Terry

To be honest I couldn't care less. I don't define a man by their relationships. Cheat, lie, whatever, if you're a decent bloke you're a decent bloke. We shouldn't judge Terry for doing what countless other men (and women) do. You wouldn't get demoted from your job if you had an affair with someone, so what's the problem?
  15. Gael Kakuta

Give me strength some people are never happy. Kakuta had an amazing debut, Ancelotti told him and the world that he believes in his ability and talent to give him a boost of confidence and belief. He did not say, "This guy is world class and better than Messi, Ronaldo, and Pato." In fact he was critical of his physical characteristics and pointed out that if he wanted a regular place in the first team in the future his strength is the first thing which needs addressing. Stop looking for criticism and enjoy the great run of form we're in... and this without Drogba, Lampard, Carvalho, and Ballack for the last game.
