Mikel is the most anonymous pointless player that's been here for any decent length of time. If he retired tomorrow the only people who'd notice are Nigerians and Man U fans laughing to themselves about the lucky escape they had.
  2. Chelsea 1 Everton 0

I can't read that. The notion that Daily Mail sports writers can pass moral judgments, especially when they create most of the hysteria and make tonnes of £££ from it, is hilarious.
  3. Willian

Willian goals are like the memory wiping flash in Men in Black.
  4. Chelsea 1 Everton 0

Personally I don't know where Hazard ranks. I thought he had his usual poor decision making but good dribbling kind of game tonight. As things stand I'd rather have Sanchez.
  5. Chelsea 1 Everton 0

Barry was lucky not to go off way sooner.
  6. Chelsea 2 Bradford City 4

This is the problem with boom-bust rotation. 9 changes means 11 individuals with little chemistry including players desperately short of game time, and exposing youngsters to the brutal reality of playing a lower league side playing like it's a cup final. Our FA youth cup team would have probably done better today than that. This is why I'm not shocked at all by today, our fringe players rarely ever have outstanding games in these circumstances and I don't remember the last time we played a second string 11 that put in a really impressive performance.
  7. Chelsea 2 Newcastle 0

    When Drogba retires.
  8. Chelsea 3 Watford 0

    Shades of Torres!
  9. Tottenham 5 Chelsea 3

I don't get the Oscar criticism at all. It's as if people have very short or selective memories. Hazard gets universal praise yet he was one of the main reasons we lost at Newcastle, in fact he gave the ball away moronically for the second goal so he was less than useless, he also was barely performing better than Schurrle before mid December last season yet Oscar who's been one of our best players this season is blamed for everything. Meanwhile Willian the right winger is heaped with praise because his only attribute is occasionally nicking the ball back in centre midfield. As for the Mata grass is greener lust, Man U fans still can't decide if he's a slow midget who does nothing defensively or a misunderstood answer to all their problems and he's been there nearly a year. The mind boggles! Anyway, it seems to me that Oscar has taken the brunt of fan passive aggression since last season as it seems many hold him responsible for us not winning the league. Jose and the club are the reason we didn't win the league, if it wasn't for their Rooney obsession we might have had a decent striker last season. Instead we were lumbered with Torres who can't even hack it at Milan ffs.
  10. Newcastle 2 Chelsea 1

We were better against Sunderland though, and Mikel is a nothing player on borrowed time.
  11. Newcastle 2 Chelsea 1

Hazard was just tragic in that game.
  12. Chelsea Finances Thread

City's numbers are fiddled as most of their sponsor income ultimately comes from the same source. It will be interesting to see if they can continually get away with it.
  13. Sunderland 0 Chelsea 0

We'd have an extra 4 points anyway if we hadn't bottled the end of both Manchester games.
  14. Sunderland 0 Chelsea 0

We looked really tired, not just physically but mentally too, slow passing, slow pressing, slow decision making, inability to realise playing narrow was not the answer. Oh well.
  15. Sunderland 0 Chelsea 0

We need to not be sucked into their dirty game.
