For some reason (this won't sit well on this forum), if we don't win the league, I would not begrudge Liverpool. In the Rafa days I despised them, but thats softened in recent years due to their demise and my hatred growing for a Spurs side punching above their weight. IF Liverpool do win, then credit to them, as they're playing the best football.

Official: Romelu Lukaku Joins Everton

IMO two seasons of performing in the premier league deserves a role in the Chelsea squad next season. In an ideal world, I'd love to see a more experienced prime striker brought in (Cavani or Costa style), Lukaku as second choice, and retain Eto for 1 more season. Torres and Ba need to go. -
A. Madrid's list of strikers speaks for itself. That said, I just don't see it with D. Costa. My YouTube scouting identified many goals playing on the shoulder of defenders and striking into the corners. He never looked that quick, and we don't play balls through for strikers to run onto; we tend to play in tight pockets in and around the oppositions penalty box. If we get him, hope he proves me wrong.

Good first season adapting to a big club. Chipped in with some nice goals. Has potential to go further, but feel all winning teams need squad players of his quality.

Official: Eden Hazard Departs For Real Madrid

I needed that chuckle! -
Rarely post on these forums, but this is up there with the worst post I've read for years! While his return at Chelsea has not lived up to expectations, he simply is not as bad as you describe above.
-
Know next to nothing about him, but want to believe in him. Our squad continues to get stronger, and will allow us to challenge more effectively on multiple fronts. Welcome Andre, and good luck!
-
Great game today, showed all the qualities of a top class defender. More please!
-
One of the most popular players under the Roman era. Played a powerful and technical game, and could shut any other midfielder out of the game on his day. Good luck to him at Madrid. Interesting to see how our midfield pans out now. We've arguably got the weakest CM pairings in quite some time, which is compounded by our conversion from a 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 - could be an interesting ride.
-
Infuriating today. What I'd give to have a 28 year old Carvalho back in this team!
-
Any thoughts on playing Essien at right back in the future?
-
Great news - a well deserved/earned appointment. History tells us no one lasts too long in this role, but I have a feeling RDMs understated approach might change this. The winning of the CL ended the Mourinho era in my mind, and with that ghost now fully gone, and new players arriving, this really feels like a new era. Good luck Robbie - get us in the league mix once more, asserting ourselves on all opposition!

You can't help but love supporting this club - never a dull moment. Welcome Hazard - bring us the goals and assists! -
Absolutely over the moon with this one, and in a state of shock. A player in his absolute prime. I really hope he hits the ground running and puts his niggling injuries aside. Really, the thought of Drogba and Torres is mouth watering. If you were a CB, which one would you want to mark! As for current Chelsea players, they too have to be thrilled with this signing. Hopefully the firework the club needed. Perhaps Roman also got tired of Torres scoring against us!

Extremely excited about the signing, but have to be honest, I know very little about him. Keeping my feet on the ground and giving him time to adapt. Normally though, defenders adapt quicker to new teams. If he is as good as everyone says, then we have an absolute gem here who will compliment Terry. It has been said here many times before; none of our CB's are good for 60 games a year. Luiz will not only provide the quality we need at the back, but competition for places and depth when required. Nice job Roman, and welcome Luiz!
