Hazard's living the dream.. there's absolutely no reason for him to want much else. He's clearly the superstar of this side, living in London, he's on a stupid contract which he can make even more stupid, Mourinho wants to make him CR7 mark II and we all adore him. I doubt he'd even consider Barca/Real right now, only way I see him leaving is when he hits that unplayable level consistently and every team in the world wants him. More Guarin talk today... anyone here who's watched him a lot know how he is defensively?
  2. César Azpilicueta

Would like to see a few games with Azpi at RB and Bertrand at LB, dunno when Bertrand's gonna be fit again though...
  3. Andre Schurrle

pretty much this. We always seem to counter attack at speed then suddenly slow down at the final third, pass it round the box aimlessly then wait for Ba/Nando/Eto'o to fall over. I'd really like to see this tried sooner rather than later, could be a far better option than any of our strikers atm
  4. Andre Schurrle

Agreed on Schurrle, but the fact that he does show now and then that he could pull it off makes me really wanna see it in action. I feel Hazard wouldn't thrive due to the fact he'd have even less space than he's given by paranoid defences at the moment, and Mata.... I don't know, I can't see that working. Feel Hazard could do a job there but Schurrle a better one
  5. Andre Schurrle

been thinking about this a fair bit recently - Willian - Mata - Hazard Schurrle I think it's the strongest attack we can play - Schurrle can play the one touch, pass and move stuff that none of strikers seem to be able to. I'd assume he'd bring more goals out of Mata and Willian simply due to the non-striker movement. Torres and Eto'o make the runs that great goalscorers make a few times a game but they don't score the goals - what's the point of continuing that? Schurrle could offer something entirely different and inspire more goals from the team as a whole

very very interesting point... my question about McEachran is what does he offer that Van Ginkel doesn't? They seem very similar players, although to be fair I've seen a lot more of Josh than MvG. I feel it's crucial to have a variety of players to play in the pivot, which we do - Mikel, Ramires, Lampard all approach the pivot role in very very different ways and if Josh can offer something different then I'd like to see him given a chance in January, even if it was just a few FA cup games and last 15 mins of a 2-0 win against Fulham.
  7. Official: Eden Hazard Joins Real Madrid

I find myself saying wow every game I watch this guy play in at the moment. So exciting, him and Jose working together for the next three years (pleaase Roman) could give us our Ronaldo. I do wonder why he performs so much better with Mata rather than Oscar, it almost seems he goes up a gear in confidence when playing with Mata, which is great but also a bit strange. It seems he makes the killer run with Mata on the pitch but not with Oscar... I don't know thought maybe that's just me being over-observational. I'd be interested to hear what members of the forum think about how he'll react when Barca/Madrid come calling in the next few years...
  8. Didier Drogba

Drogba against us in the box for a set piece is pretty much the most nightmarish scenario imaginable at the moment :s That said I can't wait for the game and the atmosphere in the stadium before and during it. I hope we make a big deal out of his return, in the way Barca did for Ronaldinho when he returned to Camp Nou with Milan. Nothing beats those huge, emotional football moments, I can't bloody wait :D
  9. Non Chelsea: Premier League

really think we missed a trick with Dembele
  10. Ashley Cole

excellent performance from him on the back of some excellent news! Well in son :D
  11. Non Chelsea: Premier League

Love how his "talent" is being brought up by pundits so much more now that he's left chelsea. 10 points clear united, reckon city will drop points today. the league is pretty much theirs
  12. Non Chelsea: Premier League

hahaa sturridge on to save liverpool against a good team. this should be good.
  13. Non Chelsea: Premier League

I hate Souness' bias towards Liverpool, shouldn't be a pundit.
  14. Non Chelsea: Premier League

    Lukaku was insane today
  15. Official: Torres Makes Milan Move Permanent

Hope he gets consistently booed from now on. Deserves it. I'd love to see how many touches he had in the first half excluding kick offs
