  1. I completely understand Chelsea's stance in this situation. He doesn't currently fit into Mourinho's plan for the team, and is a player who is eager to play consistent first team football especially considering the world cup is approaching. So a sale would be a good fit for both parties!

HOWEVER, he is not a player that we are desperate to get rid of, and his presence (be it on the pitch or the bench) would still be a plus to Chelsea. So for the club to possibly sanction a sale to a premier league rival is CRAZY. However cynical and sadistic it sounds, a disgruntled Mata at Chelsea is a lot better than a happy Mata at United. IMO, it would be better to sell to a spanish club for a lower fee than to sell to United.

At the end of the day, I wish that Mata was playing for Chelsea consistently. But for better or worse, it hasnt turned out that way. So at least lets compromise, if he have to sell him, let it be to a foreign club, NOT UNITED.

I like the away kit we had last season, with the samsung mobile on it. But I'd also like the one with the two stripes down the middle that we had a couple of seasons ago.

I agree. The one with two stripes was fantastic!

And Bazza, Drogba certainly didn't look like a donkey on that play.

id="quote">Oh come on, Robin. The worst player in the world won't look like a donkey in every minute of every game.

I have already said it was a good goal. But we need to asess performance over a number of games in competitive play before we start thinking of voting Drogba Player of the Year...

I personally think Crespo is a better player than Drogba. For me Drogba is too inconsistent. I hope that changes.

I agree that he is too inconsistent. But this may have been down to his injuries. Crespo wasn't much better for us in his first season. But, I must agree with you, I see Crespo scoring more goals for us than Drogba, Even though it seems JM has more confidence in Drogba

  4. Is it just me or does it look like the heads of the Chelsea players have just been stuck on to the shirts in nickfootie5's pic. It is definately the one that was put up by Chelsea but it does look a bit suspicious.

Does anyone know when the date for the new kit's release date is? Am I right in thinking that it will be both Samsung's name and also the new badge on it? And that the Adidas deal isn't until 2006-07 season?

That's right. Samsung mobile specifically on an Umbro shirt for the last time. Leaves no Prem teams with Umbro (unless the promoted teams use them). I talked to someone at Kitbag who said it was coming out at the time of the pre-season games, but I thought I read somewhere official that it wouldn't be until August which is fairly late.

Isn't Everton with Umbro? Or have they changed(Hope so, their kit has looked like ours for the past coule of years)?

  6. The FA are a complete joke. £300,000 for a club when another premiership club was given a reprimand for the same offence just at the beginning of the season?! What sort of justice is that! Even worse is that they acknowledged that Chelsea had no intentions of signing the player!
