It's on Youtube. The defender could have easily cleared it.
  2. We've also had games where we've done everything but score. I wouldn't read to much into that. If we are playing well, we make chances. If we put the chances away, we get more confidence and therefore continue playing well. Also don't underestimate the effect of having another pacy striker. He adds a new dimension to our play which will hpefully open up more space for others.

I rather walk to Scotland every morning to get my football news. Goal.com (and the other similar ones) are poor excuses for football sites.
  4. Spot on. 'Torres knows that his connection with the Chelsea fans will not be what it with Liverpool. Anfield had a greater impact upon him than he could ever have imagined and vice versa; he was handed the kind of welcome he could only dream of.' How can he be so sure?
  5. Josh Mc Eachran

I actually think he's been better recently. He is still misplacing some passes but at least his drive seems to be back. He played an important role last night.
  6. Yes I fully agree. My main problem isn't the shirt burning really, I suppose that shows they care (granted, in a rather primitive way) but it's the attitude of many that they are THE best fans in the world that overcome all obstacles with class and dignity. The fact of the matter is that they are the same as most clubs, there are some passionate fans, some idiots and some 'plastics' (as they would say). I think this will be one of the games where the whole stadium is up for it, not just the Shed and MHL. If 'Bouncy' catches on in the East Stand we know it's been a big day! :)
  7. I've never been on RAWK before, it's a very interesting read! Some of the comments are pure gold, especially from those who still think Torres left a top club for a lesser one. The Bridge on Sunday should be mental. I cannot wait. If they want to see 'class,' take a look at the Benfica fans that have signed up. Their top players have joined us too but they aren't whinging. They aren't stupid enough to see that any player would want to leave a Europa League team for a top team. ;)
  8. This is from RAWK... ...in a thread where we are only refered to as slime and rent-boys, not by name. Sunday is going to be a huge game. We need to batter them and let them leave with NO hope or positives. I'm sick of their deluded ideas of class.
  9. Welcome back WB, hope things are looking up now. I think the board have showed some real faith in Carlo, I don't think I was the only one who expected the axe to fall after the Wolves game but they seem to have stuck by him. I still feel he could leave in the summer but it may well be his choice. That's based on nothing more than a hunch, I hope I'm wrong.

Millwall should change it to "No one knows us, we don't care" these days. ;)

"No one likes us, we don't care!"
  13. Wasn't that Subotic?
  14. I think what worries them is our CL hopes this year.
  15. These stories are pretty easy to make up. Tenuous links to Liverpool? Check. Desire for CL? Check? Rafa has won the CL? Check. Therefore he must be coming. Huge pinch of salt needed. I've heard a similarly convincing story to do with a certain 'special' someone.
  16. And he'll win more than them all combined! ;)
  17. Some serious egg on some faces around here today. Just goes to show you never know what Chelsea will do next. FANTASTIC day of signings.
  18. Movies

We obviously have different tastes. Granted it is no where near McCarthy's best book but still enjoyable. I take it you don't enjoy McCarthy at all for his writing style? He does get criticsm for the way he writes from some. Radio yes and the odd TV but I doubt may poor Texans were sitting in all day watching the news! The sniper attacks of a few years ago proved it was possible in modern times so out in the wild west in the 80s is more than convincing.
  19. Movies

Ha I think it was slightly before the time of the media. I really enjoyed the film but one thing I would say is that it makes a lot more sense if you read the book. The whole scene at the end of the book is omitted which really ties things together.
  20. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

I agree that we need to strengthen but I see no point in buying rubbish for the sake of it. I'd rather see Bruma, Bertrand, McEachran, Sturridge etc. get more game time than us playing players like Keane. The bottom line is the board ARE trying to sign players, top quality ones, and we have to be patient and hope for the best. As Juni says nothing is set in stone yet.
  21. OFFICIAL - David Luiz Joins PSG.

Would Luiz really be the difference between top 4 or not? No chance. That responsibilty lies on the players shoulders. The fact is that if Luiz came but everyone played as we did for December then Luiz would make little difference. However if we play well then we will be in the top 4 easily. YES strengthening our squad is important but we have a good enough bunch of players to compete as it is. Any more would be a welcome bonus. We have no divine right to sign anyone. That said, I'd wait until Tuesday to see what happens. There have been so many stories of 'done deal' and 'no deal' already that I doubt this is the last we hear.

Says the man who just ended a post 'cnuts cnuts and thrice cnuts'. Deep breaths...

Although I doubt shipping out Kakuta saves anything on the wage bill, unlike the players you name.

    And according to SSN now.

I agree. That one start only lasted until half time too I believe, at Villa? People keep on about us having young talent in defence but we have it all over. That said, if the right players become available then I'm all for buying people too. There's no reason why getting one or two players should spell the end of any young players' chances. However what it could do is enable us to rest players like Drogba who we asked to play through illness and the subsequent fatigue.
