  1. Michael Essien

I think he is good but he needs to learn how to head a ball.
  2. Gianfranco Zola

    Combine the pair of them?
  3. Michael Essien

All well and good but its in the past now, we won the game and that is the main thing, surely?
  4. Didier Drogba

He still missed 10 sitters against West Bromwish Albion. one good game doesn't make a good player.
  5. Michael Essien

Don't want Tiago to leave as I feel he could be one of our best players. Don't think Aulas is interested in taking Jarosik?
  6. Michael Essien

He certainly has the right to strike, and by striking he will receive no wages whatsoever and the club still don't have to sell him. He is taking a massive gamble in that he potentially could go on strike and then not be able to play any football (including any training) for the next three years, minus wages. Essien should not be going to the media and telling the world what he will do if he doesn't get his way. He is a grown man who made a choice to sign a contract with a club. He sold his footballing skills to a club and they now own him, if he wanted to be a free spirit then he shouldn't have signed a contract. What's happened though is he has had a few good seasons, suddenly a massively better offer has trundled his way and his big greedy eyes have set their sights on bigger and better things. Well, Essien has to realise that he signed a contract and sold himself to a club who own him. How would we feel if Real Madrid offered Frank Lampard a ridiculous wage offer but Jose wouldn't sell, Frank then decided he would never play again.
  7. Michael Essien

How does Essien play for Lyon after catergorically telling them he doesn't want to be there? Surely his own fans will boo him. Wait a year and buy him for a quarter of the price they are asking at the moment.
  8. Didier Drogba

It seems a long time ago to when Drogba arrived and told Thierry Henry he was going to teach him a lesson or two, or whatever that silly statement was when we first signed him. I think he has a bit of a big mouth and likes to talk himself up too much. I do like the player though just not as much as he likes himself. Nice goal last night though.
  9. Didier Drogba

I have come to accept that Owen would not fit our system. No defender likes playing against pace, but if your main attribute in your striking line is simply pace pace pace then the defence will just sit deep game after game. As has already been said Crespo and Drogba will probably never play in the same team. As for them learning from each other, then sure, but that is stating the obvious in that every player will be learning from every other player.
  10. Michael Essien

No need for Essien. Let him moan and play **** till Christmas and bring him in for about 8-12 million in the January sales. That is all he is really worth anyway. He's not as good as Lyon wish he was.
  11. Didier Drogba

This is just to rock the boat at Chelsea. It's making Drogba look bad when in fact I believe that when saying these things he was responding to questions that perhaps questioned his ability as a world class top striker. So Didier, why didn't you score as many as Thierry? Well, the system is not perfect for me to score many goals, however I do help defending and do help make goals. Last season Drogba didn't really have much competition against Kezman. However, this year against Crespo he will have to improve his first touch, speed and finisihing if he wants to get that starting place.
  12. New Kits

Anyone else think Glen Johnson looks like he has been on the sun beds?
  13. New Kits

Lol now you have said it it appears obvious. Ha Ha, unlucky Mr Umbro PR man, you have failed big brother's secret mission and been found out!
  14. Michael Essien

Basole will have an opinion on this... and its probably no.
  15. Didier Drogba

He couldn't actually be sold simply because we don't have adequate replacements lined up. What does concern me slightly is that in Jose saying this it may mean that there are no replacement strikers coming in. But maybe thats a good thing.
