  1. Michael Essien

BTW... Can anyone understand why The Sun rated him at 6/10 for last nights performance? Just goes to show that either a) they don't actually watch the game or b) Shaun Custis is anti Chelsea!
  2. Frank Arnesen

Yeah, true... maybe he didn't do the greatest job at Spuds, but at the end of the day, what TOP class player (in the same bracket that Arnesen worked with at PSV) would want to join them!? a) They're NEVER in Europe B) They don't have a bottomless pit of money c) They're not the most ambitious of clubs d) Although it's London - it's not the nicest of places for foreign imports to play their football! We are all of the above... Let the good times role!! Arnesen did however, play his part in attracting some of the "promising" younger players that Spuds have like Dawson, Carrick, Defoe, Routledge, Huddlestone etc etc but as my point above suggests - That's the best they can hope for!!
  3. Michael Essien

It only looks like a matter of time now with him saying things like this: http://skysports.planetfootball.com/articl...e.asp?id=291172 A good signing IMO and at least we're not getting ripped off too much either - the rumblings of £25m-£28m were a joke!

  5. New Kits

Who's the player on the right hand side of the pic next to Maka?!?

  7. Gianfranco Zola

http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.a...l=football_home A true legend and absolute gentleman has decided to call time on his career, what memories he gave us over the years! Hopefully this will pave the way for him to return to the Bridge in some kind of coaching/ambassador role.
  8. New Kits

These aren't the "Official" drawings but according to the thread have been re-created from the official designs. The bottom line is next seasons kits will look like this: http://www.cfc-net.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8621

  10. New Kits

Yeah I'd say it was a toss up between last seasons "fag packet" kit and the white kit with thin red stripes and the lace-up collar of the early 90's (sponsor was Commodore). They are two legendary kits for sure...!
  11. Didier Drogba

Sorry if I'm being stupid here... but do we mean the picture at the top of THIS page?? (Mourinho to the left, Terry to the right). That pic is definately of Drogba!
  12. Michael Essien

quote:Originally posted by 321TedRogersHe's an attacking midfielder, not a holding player Dan. He is very good perhaps too good for Lyon to hold on to him... id="quote"> id="quote">I could have sworn I saw in interview with him on CL Weekly and he said he likes Makelele and Roy Keane who both play in his position? Still £18m is a bit strong - but wouldn't mind seeing him here - even if it's just to pi$$ Manure off!!
  13. Michael Essien

This boy has looked good in the CL this year and would prove a useful option as the third man in midfield or indeed as a long term replacement for Maka. http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.a...l=Football_Home Think I'd prefer Xavi for £18m though!
  14. Didier Drogba

    Come to mention it... it should actually read like this: 1 Chelsea 31 25 5 1 61 11 80 2 Arsenal 31 20 7 4 72 33 67 3 Manchester United 31 19 10 2 48 17 67 Still looks good though eh?!
  15. Didier Drogba

On the subject of things at the top of the site - our goal difference is wrong...! We've conceded 11, not 10 as stated on the table. Sorry to be picky, but it's been bugging me for the last couple of weeks! :o)
