  1. Injury News

Getting quite worried now. Drogba out for three weeks (back in training in time for the WBA game, he could end up missing most action until mid/end September. Alex the same, Riccy talking about leaving, Cole linked to Real, Ballack, Belletti, Deco and J Cole gone, one transfer (Y Benayon) who is out injured as well and will miss the start of the season. Ivanovic, Terry, Lampard, A Cole, Ferreira, Carvalho, Deco, Drogba, Kalou, Malouda, Anelka etc will be back late to training due to the WC. I think we will end up playing some of the younger players for the start of the season and we better pray they are ready. Otherwise we could effectively have dropped the league come end of October. Surprised the club haven't done more to tackle the problems we all knew we'd have since it was a WC year. That we haven't even strengthened the squad one bit (we're much weaker than last season in my view), pus the older players are one year older and still gets injured apparanetly. We're playing a dangerous game I think with not siging atleast 2 more players to the squad.
  2. New Kits

Not that I disagree with you on your stance of our kits. They are horrible and our kits should always be Blue/White/(possible minor details in yellow) - white/blue - yellow blue. The red away has had its history with us but nowadays the fans would go beserk with a red away kit. So that's a no. I could accept the occassional experiment I.e. black, midnightblue and other colours. But the norm should be blue/white, yellow/blue, white/blue. However, as far as I am informed (from what should be a reliable source) the 3rd kit is not green... He should know as well for sure so I am iinclined to believe him unless someone has tried to mislead him.
  3. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

100% agreed. Mitrovic who is a fellow countryman of me and the goalscorer in last seasons FA Youth Cup team will struggle to make it as well I think. Borini is too lightweight and although he had good movement and pace, his finishing is poor and he isn't particularly technical or good in the air. Di Santo has nothing, I can't understand what he is still doing with us, and Sinclair will not make it either - not with us atleast. Hutchinson, Mancienne, Cork, Kakuta, Van Aanholt, Bertrand, McEachran etc could but they are all midfielders or defenders.
  4. New Kits

Wow... So it isn't just a horrible rumour. This will be very interesting to see...
  5. New Kits

I actually love the new away kit. Not at all bad and much better than anything we had last season.
  6. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

First sort of indication that some of the youngsters may actually indeed get game time this season, even in the Premier League. "The players we have got here now [training at Cobham], we have to get them into the right fitness condition so that they are prepared to play, because we might not be able to use the guys coming back from the World Cup for the first couple of games. So these young men have to be primed and ready to perform." Ray Wilkins
  7. New Kits

Agreed. It's either the black/grey/orange one or the black/light blue one as 2nd or 3rd kit. Of those two I definitely prefer the black/orange one. The last kit will have to be different in terms of base colour. Green someone says? Could be a new cult shocker that we'll speak about for years to come much as the grey/tangerine one.
  8. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

I saw him in 4-5 games including the youth cup run last season and he is a very special player. I saw it the first time I watched him play. Hard to tell if he'll make it as he seems a bith lightweight still but only 17 so time on his side. Definitely think he is in with a shout of making his debut this season for the first team, either in a low key league game or one of the cups. Biggest talent I've ever seen coming out of the academy. We do have a whole batch of talented youngsters born in the span of 1988 (Mancienne) to 1993 (McEachran) with a few exciting ones to watch in the 94 batch as well. Would be surprised of none of these lads make it here.
  9. New Kits

I like it as well. Shirt sponsor is horrible though.
  10. Ashley Cole

There you go. We might as well just stick out heads in the sand. Atleast it preserves sanity.
  11. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Could someone confirm that John Swift, Reece Mitchell and Yann Gueho are all born 1994? Has anyone seen the three of them play? I was at Cobham last season to watch a U-18 game and the U-16 was playing on the pitch next to it. The team looked really, really good for their age.
  12. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

I think you're banging your head against a very solid brick wall mate.
  13. Ashley Cole

I don't even understand why everyone on here assumes that all the garbage of Ashley wanting to leave England is true? He said back in May he didn't want to leave Chelsea. From my point of view that's where we are at the moment. When he won the Double he was estatic Don't believe everything you read.
  14. Ashley Cole

Well, if they say that they are obviously lying. Blackberry Messenger is a chat tool. Not to automaticly send out facebook updates with pictures. If it would be someone else's Blackberry and this picture was sent to their Blackberry Messenger it makes sense - but you still have the problem to identify who it really is on the picture and who this "Ash" is. Well the "story" has been out for 24h and I'd imagine that Ashley would be more interested in jetting out on vacation asap then to stay in England and get lambasted in the press. So maybe he hasn't had time to react to the story or maybe he just don't care any longer what they write? +1. It sure as hell isn't the English ladies that keeps me here.
  15. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

No, not at all. Good luck to him.
  16. Media / Press

Right, let me get this straight. When there is rumours about JT shagging a model that is single the papers slaughter him, demands him to be stripped of the captaincy and he is dubbed the new enemy of England - even though all parties denies the allegations. When St Steven of Me is rumoured to have shagged and impregnated someone other than his wife (and the rumours are quite more shocking than that) the papers actually come out to state those rumours are unfounded??? My God, can they get anymore biased. This is beyond ridiculous. Not even fit to use as toilett paper to whipe my arse off. Double Standards Oh, and if anyone wondered? JT will get the blame for the split in the camp, the horrendous England result and it will end by him being hounded out from the national team by the redtops. Sad.
  17. Ashley Cole

Well, it must have been on his facebook homepage to be able to be on his blackberry surely? Either case, they still can't prove it really was his blackberry can they? It's just a picture pf a blackberry showing a facebook homepage in the name of "Ash". Could be any black bloke really. Also, the picture had a black male lying on a towel with another towel over his head so you couldn't even identify the person in question. Just a load of bollocks as usual from the Sun.
  18. Ashley Cole

    1) It's a completely fabricated story. Why? There is no way The Sun can be sure that is really Ash's real facebook page. Have a look around - there's plenty of Ashley Cole's on facebook who clearly isn't Ashley Cole. 2) Even if it was true, I'm pretty sure the comment was made tongue in cheek. 3) He has all right to hate England and the English. If I were him I would considering how he gets treated by the press and many "England fans". The media is shameless. I'd posted this somewhere else but if I were a professional footballer I'd hire a PR man to sue to the press every single timethey wrote the slightest untrue story about me. It would be my mission in life apart from playing football. Further, if a paper ever wrote something untrue about me I'd never ever talk to them again. These people are scum and doesn't deserve being treated as humans. Disgusting.
  19. Chelsea Reserve & Youth Team

Read it as well. A sad story. The lad made his bow around the age of 17 (remember seeing him at Brondby summer 2007) and he has been out injured more or less non-stop since. A shame, the lad is obviously talented and had enough about him making it in the EPL but the question must remain now ewheter he has a long term future with a chronic knee injury.
  20. New Kits

In true Hunter S Thompson style.
  21. New Kits

Oh.... my...... GOD! Those shirts are truly horrendous.
  22. New Kits

I also quite liked the yellow with royal blue stripes last year. It was classic. But generally I agree, Adidas even manages to **** up a normal white with blue stripes. The only ok white they made was the first season in 06/07. That was also the only ok home shirt (which I actually really liked). In my perspective the only colours to ever be considered for Chelsea is blue/white with or without yellow or red details for the home shirt, white/blue and yellow/blue for the away and 3rd kits where we could use black/midnight blue/blue as a variation for the 2nd and 3rd kits. But I guess youy have to blame the club as well. In the end they must be the ones deciding on the colours while adidas decides the style of the shirt. The new home kit would have been the best since 2006/07 if it weren't for the absolutely shocking details on the collar (those small circles in the front) and the lizard like tail pattern on the back. On the players, with the slim fit, and from afar it will look quality. On fans close up it will be just as horrible as anything they have made for us.
  23. New Kits

Enjoy? Absolutely horrendous kit. I'd ask what the hell is wrong with the club? This is the way forward, one horrendous kit after another in order to make money off the fans. I've given up on ever having a decent 3 combo kit for a season again. Think the way forward is to buy a classic kit and not look for any new ones form the club.
  24. Didier Drogba

By the way WB - a great piece. Thank you for posting it. I knew most of the contents already but still nice to see it all gathered and to read a positive article regarding Drogba. He really is a big man in more ways than his size.
  25. Didier Drogba

    Yes indeed. Situation normal.
